C. TOPIC SUMMARY/ THEORY


AutoCAD is a computer aided drafting and design software from Autodesk Inc. It is
widely used in various applications including all engineering fields. Computer aided
Design (CAD) is simply design and drafting with the aid of a computer. CAD utilizes a
computer system in the design process. A computer which includes computer hardware
and software package assists in the design automation.

E. GENERAL INSTRUCTION / SAFETY PROCEDURE


1. Make sure the computer desk is always clean of outside materials such as books,
paper, and clothes.
2. Avoid touching switches or wires with wet hands or wet materials.
3. Make sure all switches are closed on the computer after completing the practical.

F. WORK INSTRUCTION / PROCEDURE


1. By using all commands, draw Figure 1 by using metric unit.
2. Insert text in the block name using text command.
3. Save your work in your computer with name: PRACTICAL WORK 1
