Introduction

This report contains the structural analysis and design calculations for Structural Design
Calculation for Cycle Track Louver Screening Fence ABU DHABI MAINLAND TO ABU
DHABI BOUNDARY (AL QUDRA) & ABU DHABI MAINLAND TO SOUTH OF BANIYAS
(AL WATHBA) CYCLE ROUTES. The fence of built-up aluminium plate section as framing
and members. STAAD Pro was the software used to analyse and design the structure

II. Design reference

The following design codes/references are used as guide for the design of the structure.

a. AASHTO LRFD
b. TR 516 Abu Dhabi Road Structure Design Manual
c. TR 542 Standard Construction Specification for Road
d. ASCE 7-5 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures
e. AISC 360 (LRFD)
f. ACI 318-14 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete

III. Loads and Load Combinations

Loads used in the design of the structure are:

A. Self-weight

Dead Load due to self-weight is automatically added to the dead load case. The weight of
materials are as follows:

a. Steel Unit Weight = 7850 kg/m3


b. Aluminium density = 2.69 g/cm3
c. Reinforced Concrete Unit Weight = 24 kN/m3
