Growing Up
Growing up, my favorite thing to do is spending time with my cats. I enjoyed playing with them,
watching them explore, or simply cuddling them. Why? Because I find it fulfilling.
2 . After School, what did you study? Plus, list any personal courses.
After college, when I was still 18 I immediately applied for a job in one of the BPO Company in
Dumaguete and it’s for a Telco company in the US. We had comms skills and product training
for over a month before endorsement to production.
I was Virtual Assistant for 3 years for a Staffing Agency in the US. So I handle Admin, HR
task and Scheduling.
I was also an Appointment Setter/Cold Caller for 3 years for an Insurance Company in
New Jersey. So I call clients and set appointments with them to do upgrade on their
policy.
Was also a Bid Analyst for 6 years for a Bidding Company in the US. We call professionals
like, General Contractors, Architects, Engineers and Suppliers to get info on a specific
project.
And my first job was a Customer Service/Technical Support for a Telco Company in the
US for 5 years.
I am very motivated
Flexible – I can work any time with anyone
Empathy – I understand and show support to someone.
In making calls, I would approach it with a focus on being helpful and supportive. I’d aim to
listen actively, provide clear information, and address any concerns or questions with
empathy and professionalism.
7. What’s the key to making sure a project is successful when working remotely?
Clear communication
You should know your goals and deadlines
Use effective tools
Regular feedback
Fostering Team Morale - Encourage a positive team culture.
Today, my focus is to become better and work hard to achieve my goals in life as a single
mom of two. In five years, I would see myself as better person, more responsible, capable and
more knowledgeable.
I can start as soon as possible. Working onsite is not a problem for me but if given a
chance by the client to work at home then I guess it would be better.
10. Are you someone that likes learning new skills? Please give us an
example.
Absolutely, I thrive on learning new skills and expanding my knowledge. For instance, I’ve been
designed to continuously update my understanding on various topics, from new developments in
technology to evolving best practices in communication.
What makes working as a virtual assistant appealing is the ability to provide personalized
support and assist with different tasks. It’s fulfilling to help clients achieve their goals, solve
problems, and navigate challenges efficiently. The flexibility of working remotely and the
opportunity to continuously learn and adapt to new information and technologies also add to the
appeal.
