GEN 4 CHARGES FOR AERODROMES / HELIPORTS AND AIR


NAVIGATION SERVICES

GEN 4.1 Aerodrome / heliport charges

4.1.1 Major Aerodromes


Charges for aerodromes under the administration of civil aviation authorities are quoted separately for each individual Emirate
under the following headings and in the order given:

4.1.2 Other Aerodromes


Charges for other aerodromes are the responsibility of the aerodrome administrative authority. Enquires as to the charges
levied for a particular operation should be directed to the administrative authority, the address for which is given in the applicable
GEN 1 section.

4.1.3 Emirate of Abu Dhabi


Unless specifically and separately stated, the charges set out hereunder are common to all ADAC administered aerodromes.
Charges for services and facilities not mentioned (e.g. for the carriage of baggage between aircraft and terminal buildings)
may vary from aerodrome to aerodrome and information concerning such charges may be obtained at the aerodromes. Unless
an alternative arrangement has been made, all charges for the use of the aerodrome are payable by the pilot of the aircraft on
demand or before the aircraft departs from the aerodrome.

4.1.3.1 Landing charges

Maximum take-off weight as shown in the certificate of airworthiness.

4.1.3.1.3 Rules

The payment of the landing charge shall entitle the aircraft to:

a. the use of the aerodrome for alighting and departure,

b. the use of radio and night lighting installations at the aerodrome,

c. the supply of all available information as to routes and weather information,

d. the service of the aerodrome personnel, if available, for manual assistance in guiding, housing or parking the aircraft.

Note: The landing charge, the payment of which entitles the aircraft to the use of the radio, does not include operation charges
or charges for radio services in the connection with movement, which may be levied by an approved agency of the government.

4.1.3.2 Parking charges


4.1.3.2.1 Basis

i. OMAA aerodrome:

∗ For Passenger and Cargo operations, duration of time in hours.


∗ For General Aviation operations, the product of the length times the span of the aircraft in metres.

ii. OMAL aerodrome:

The product of the length times the span of the aircraft in metres.

iii. OMAD aerodrome:

Corresponding to the MTOW of the aircraft.

4.1.3.2.2 Parking rates

a. Apron Parking – Passenger Operations


Narrow Body • 1 hour and 30 minutes free after landing (starts on ‘on-block’)
• AED 200 for the first charging hour or part thereof (after end of free
period)
• AED 330 per each additional hour thereafter or part thereof

Wide Body • 3 hours free after landing (starts on ‘on-block’)


• AED 300 per hour for the first 3 charging hours or part thereof (after
end of free period)
• AED 560 per each additional hour thereafter or part thereof

b. Apron Parking – Cargo Operations


Narrow Body • 6 hours after landing (starts on ‘on-block’)
• AED 200 for the first charging hour or part thereof (after end of free
period)
• AED 330 per each additional hour thereafter or part thereof

Wide Body • 6 hours free after landing (starts on ‘on-block’)


• AED 300 per hour for the first 3 charging hours or part thereof (after
end of free period)
• AED 560 per each additional hour thereafter or part thereof

For the first 50 square metres AED 3.00

4.1.3.2.3 Rules

1. OMAA aerodrome:

a. Passenger and Cargo Operations


These charges will apply whilst the aircraft is parked on areas designated as airport parking areas within the
passenger and/or cargo operations areas. Parking charges will be based on the total number of hours or part
thereof that an aircraft has been parked on areas designated as the airport parking areas. Parking times will be
measured from On-block time to Off-block time.

b. General Aviation Operations


No fees will be charged for the first 6 hours after landing. After the first 6 hours has passed, the above rates shall
apply for each period of 24 hours or part thereof that passes. General Aviation aircraft parking outside of designated
airport parking within the General Aviation areas for General Aviation Aircraft will be subject to charges specified
under 4.1.3.2.2 i) c.

2. OMAL aerodrome:
No parking fees will be charged for the first six hours after landing. After the first six hours and for each period of 24
hours, or part thereof, the parking rates specified in 4.1.3.2.2 ii) will be charged.

3. OMAD aerodrome:
No parking fees will be charged for the first four hours after landing. After the first four hours, parking charges will be
based on the total number of hours or part thereof that an aircraft has been parked.

4.1.3.3 Passenger service charges


4.1.3.3.1 A charge of AED 75 is levied on each departing passenger, departing from international terminals.

4.1.3.3.2 The following exemptions from passenger service charges are granted:

a. Children under the age of 2 years.


b. Members of the aircraft operating crew.
c. Transfer / Transit passengers continuing travel within 24 hours of arrival.

4.1.3.3.3 Passenger Facility Charge

a. A charge of AED 35 is levied on each departing passenger from any International Airport of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
This includes passengers

∗ Originating their journey from Abu Dhabi and;


∗ Transfer passengers continuing their journey on the same or any other airline.

b. This charge is in addition to all existing passenger related charges in order to recover operating costs for Airport Facilities.
c. The following exemptions from Passenger Facility Charges are granted to:

∗ Operating crew,
∗ Transit passengers with same arrival and departure flight numbers continuing travel within 24 hours,
∗ Infants under the age of 2 not occupying a seat.

4.1.3.4 Security charges

4.1.3.6 Other charges


4.1.3.6.1 Passenger Security & Safety charge

4.1.3.6.1.1 A charge of AED 5.00 is levied on each departing passenger.

4.1.3.6.1.2 The following exemptions from Passenger Security & Safety charge are granted:

a. Children under the age of 2 years.


b. Members of the aircraft operating crew on duty.
c. Transfer / Transit passengers continuing travel within 24 hours of arrival.

4.1.3.6.2 Advance Passenger Information Fee

4.1.3.6.2.1 A charge of AED 5.00 is levied on each arriving passenger.

4.1.3.6.2.2 The following exemptions for the Advanced Passenger Information Fee are granted:

a. Children under the age of 2 years.


b. Members of the aircraft operating crew only.
c. Transfer / Transit passengers continuing travel within 24 hours of arrival.

4.1.3.7 Exemptions / reductions


4.1.3.7.1 The following aircraft will be exempt from landing and parking fees:

a. Royal, diplomatic and state aircraft,


b. Aircraft engaged in search and rescue operations,
c. Bona fide test flights or calibration flights approved by the airport authority.

4.1.3.7.2 A rebate of 50 % of landing charges will be granted in respect of aircraft on training flights.

4.1.3.8 Methods of payment


4.1.3.8.1 Payment of charges will be accepted in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED), Sterling (GBP) or in United States
Dollars (USD) only, either in cash or travellers cheques. Charges must be paid to the ADAC Traffic Officer before departure
of the aircraft unless previous arrangements have been made for monthly credit account facilities

4.1.4 Emirate of Dubai


The charges set for aerodromes administered by Dubai Airports are available on www.dubaiairports.ae. Charges for services
and facilities not mentioned (e.g. for the carriage of baggage between aircraft and terminal buildings) may vary from aerodrome
to aerodrome, and information concerning such charges may be obtained at the aerodromes. Unless an alternative arrangement
has been made, all charges for the use of the aerodrome are payable by the pilot of the aircraft on demand or before the aircraft
departs from the aerodrome.

4.1.4.1 Landing charges


4.1.4.1.1 Basis

Maximum permissible take - off weight as shown in the certificate of airworthiness.

4.1.4.1.2 Rates

Rates charges levied on landing are set out in the schedule of charges and conditions of use on www.dubaiairports.ae

4.1.4.1.3 Rules
The payment of the landing charge entitles the aircraft to:

a. the use of all manoeuvring areas on the airport,

b. all navigational approach and lighting aids,

c. all emergency services and all briefing and meteorological services,

d. the services of the aerodrome personnel, if available, for manual assistance in guiding, housing or parking the aircraft,

e. the provision of local air traffic services.

4.1.4.2 Parking charges


4.1.4.2.1 Basis
The charges for parking aircraft at Dubai International are based on number of hours and aircraft category.

4.1.4.2.2 Parking rates

Rates charges levied on parking are set out in the schedule of charges and conditions of use on www.dubaiairports.ae

4.1.4.3 Passenger service charges


Passenger service charges are set out in the schedule of charges and conditions of use on www.dubaiairports.ae

4.1.5 Emirate of Fujairah


The charges set out hereunder are common to all DCA administered aerodromes, except where is it stated to the contrary.
Charges for services and facilities not mentioned (e.g. for the carriage of baggage between the aircraft and terminal buildings)
may vary from aerodrome to aerodrome, and information concerning such charges may be obtained at the aerodromes. Unless
an alternative arrangement has been made, all charges for the use of the aerodrome are payable by the pilot of the aircraft on
demand or before the aircraft departs from the aerodrome.

4.1.5.1 Landing charges


4.1.5.1.1 Basis
Landing fees will be calculated on the basis of the maximum all up weight of the aircraft.

4.1.5.1.2 Rates

4.1.5.1.3 Rules
The payment of the landing charge shall entitle the aircraft to:

a. the use of the aerodrome for alighting and departure,

b. the provision of local air traffic services,

c. the use of aerodrome radio navigation aids and aerodrome ground aids,

d. the supply of all available information as to routes and weather information,

e. the services of aerodrome personnel for manual assistance in guiding, housing or parking of aircraft.

4.1.5.2 Parking charges


4.1.5.2.1 Basis
Calculated on the basis of maximum all up weight of the aircraft.

4.1.5.2.2 Parking rates

4.1.5.2.3 Rules

No parking fee will be charged for the first six hours after actual landing time. Thereafter a fee will be payable in accordance
with the above rates for each twenty four hours or part thereof, commencing from the actual time of landing.

4.1.5.7 Exemptions / reductions


4.1.5.7.1 The following aircraft will exempt from landing and parking fees:

a. aircraft engaged on search and rescue operations when providing a free service,

b. state aircraft operated by members of the Arab Gulf Co-operation Council,

c. test or calibration flight approved by the airport authority,

d. other aircraft as determined by the DCA Fujairah.

4.1.5.7.2 A rebate of 50 % of landing charges will be granted in respect of:

a. aircraft operating on scheduled services originating from an aerodrome less than 25 NM distant,

b. aircraft making test flights or carrying passengers for hire or reward when the flight originates and terminates at Fujairah
International Airport without making an intermediate landing,

c. aircraft carrying out training flights,

d. helicopters.

Note: Application for this rebate must be made in advance in respect of (a) to (c) inclusive.

4.1.5.8 Methods of payment


4.1.5.8.1 Payment of fees will be accepted only in the following currencies:

a. United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED)

b. Sterling (GBP)

c. United States Dollars (USD)

d. Euro (EUR)

4.1.5.8.2 Payment is accepted in cash or travellers cheques. Fees must be paid before departure of the aircraft unless previous
arrangements have been made for a monthly account. Rates of currency exchange for payments of charges in other than AED
are determined by the airport authority and are subject to change.

4.1.6 Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah


The charges set out hereunder are common to all DCA administered aerodromes, except where it is stated to the contrary.
Charges for services and facilities not mentioned (e.g. for the carriage of baggage between aircraft and terminal buildings)
may vary from aerodrome to aerodrome, and information concerning such charges may be obtained at the aerodromes. Unless
an alternative arrangement has been made, all charges for the use of the aerodrome are payable by the pilot of the aircraft on
demand or before the aircraft departs from the aerodrome.

4.1.6.1 Landing charges


4.1.6.1.1 Basis
Landing Charges* will be calculated on the following rate based on Maximum Take - Off Weight (MTOW) as shown in the
Certificate of Airworthiness.

Note: * All flights are subject to a minimum Landing Charge of AED 100.

4.1.6.1.2 Rates

AED 10.00 per metric ton (or part thereof)

4.1.6.1.3 Rules
The payment of the landing charge shall entitle the aircraft to:

a. the use of the aerodrome for alighting and departure,

4.1.6.8 Method of payment

Dollars (USD) only, either in cash or travellers cheques. Charges must be paid to the duty operations officer before departure
of the aircraft unless previous arrangements have been made for monthly credit account facilities.

4.1.7 Emirate of Sharjah


The charges set out hereunder are common to all DCA administered aerodromes, except where is it stated to the contrary.
Charges for services and facilities not mentioned (e.g. for the carriage of baggage between the aircraft and terminal buildings)
may vary from aerodrome to aerodrome, and information concerning such charges may be obtained at the aerodromes. Unless
an alternative arrangement has been made, all charges for the use of the aerodrome are payable by the pilot of the aircraft on
demand or before the aircraft departs from the aerodrome.

4.1.7.1 Landing charges


4.1.7.1.1 Basis
Maximum take-off weight based on the rates below.

4.1.7.1.2 Rates

4.1.7.1.3 Rules
The payment of the landing charge shall entitle the aircraft to:

c. The supply of all available information as to routes and weather information,

d. the services of the aerodrome personnel, if available, for manual assistance in guiding, housing or parking the aircraft.

4.1.7.2 Parking charges


4.1.7.2.1 Basis

The charges for parking aircraft at Sharjah International are based on number of hours and aircraft category.

No parking fee will be levied if the flight departs within 6 (six) hours of arrival.

4.1.7.2.2 Parking rates

Aircraft with MTOW Below AED 100 per day after first 6 hrs.
50 tons (Flat charge)
Aircraft with MTOW of 50 Parking fee is charged on 24 hours basis -or part thereof.
tons and above Parking fee for Day 1 - @ AED 1/- (USD 0.27) per 1000 Kgs on MTOW.
Parking fee for Day 2 will be 35% more than that of Day 1 and will escalate by 25% for every
day onwards based on preceding day till Day 5.
Day 5 charges will continue thereafter for each day.
Total parking fee is cumulative of the number of days parked.
Kindly note, the published parking charges are at the discretion of the Airport Authority, and
subject to change based on such factors as type of operations, schedule, duration of parking,
etc.

4.1.7.3 Passenger service charges


4.1.7.3.1 AED 60/- per passenger departing from OMSJ as Passenger Service Charge. (Collected by Sharjah Airport Authority).

4.1.7.3.2 AED 5/- per passenger departing from OMSJ as Passenger Service Charge tax. (Collected by IATA).

4.1.7.3.3 AED 5/- per passenger arriving OMSJ as Advance Passenger Information (Collected by IATA).

4.1.7.7.1 The following aircraft will be exempt from landing and parking fees:

a. royal, diplomatic and state aircraft,

b. aircraft engaged on search and rescue operations when providing a free service,

c. military aircraft of the GCC countries,

d. bona fide test flights or calibration flights approved by the airport authority.

4.1.7.7.2 A rebate of 50 % of landing charges will be granted in respect of:

a. aircraft operating on scheduled services originating from a recognised point less than 40 NM distant,

b. aircraft carrying passengers for hire or reward or pleasure flights and taking up and setting down passengers at Sharjah
airport,

c. aircraft carrying out training flights,

d. helicopters.

4.1.7.8 Methods of payment


4.1.7.8.1 Payment for fees will be accepted only in the following currencies:

a. United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED)

b. Sterling (GBP)

c. United State Dollars (USD)

d. Euro (EUR)

4.1.7.8.2 Modes of Payment:

a. Payment of charges will be accepted in:

∗ CREDIT CARD (AMEX, VISA, DC, MASTER CARD, AVCARD)
∗ CREDIT FACILITY
∗ BANK GUARANTEE.
