3. ABSTRACTION
Digital camera (photos and videos) inspired activities digital cameras
 Are one of the single most successful Information and Communication
Technology purchase you can make for a school. They enhance communications
for students and teachers. Digital cameras are the first and electric device that
digitizes images, today
 you can find one in just about any cell or smart phone.
 Students today live in multimedia world and appreciate variety in their learning
environment. Some forms of literacy they can develop includes textual,
numerical, visual, audio and multimedia. Visual literacy is defined as the ability
to understand and produce his visual message. Both teacher and students can
benefit by developing their abilities to create, use and evaluate visual resources.
 According to the Guide for international Literacy Association Board Members of
Officers, studies reveal that the majority of information absorbed by human
beings is collected by our sense of vision. Thus, it seems logical that we
emphasize the development of visual skills as a way of preparing for successful
and satisfying lives.
 Digital Cameras have many benefits for classroom applications.
 First, they are affordable.
 Second, they are easy to use. Most cameras just a regular memory card they can
be inserted into a computer and the photos can be transferred easily to that
computer.
 Third, the quality is good. Digital cameras come to be used for yearbook quality
pictures.
 Fourth, some digital cameras can record short video clips. And last, students love
the new “techie” equipment like digital cameras.
 Teacher are using the digital cameras to enhance education inside and outside of
the classroom and from all accounts, the students love them so much if not more
than a teachers do.
 One of the main goals of students using technology is to become creators of
content. Additionally, cameras enhance the skill of purposeful observation.
 Furthermore, digital video cameras have enormous potential for impacting on
pupil creativity, team building and higher-order thinking skills.
4. APPLICATION
Using their cameras, the students will take selfies proving that they are watching the
virtual class discussion and compile it because later on they will make a video
presentation.
lV. ASSESSMENT

Directions: Write on a clean sheet of paper the ADVANTAGES and


DISADVANTAGES of using cameras inside the classroom.

V. ASSIGNMENT

DIRECTIONS: Using your cameras make a video presentation of your compiled pictures
that shows cooperative learning.
Ex. Photos while having group activities
Photos during fieldtrips
