OUR VALUES DICTIONARY

understanding the power of values is essential”. Values are the threads that weave our lives
together, guiding our decisions, influencing our behaviours, and defining our character. They
are the compass that navigates us through life's complexities, helping us distinguish right
from wrong, good from bad, and meaningful from insignificant. This Values Dictionary is a
comprehensive guide to exploring the concepts, principles, and ideals that shape human
experience. With many entries spanning various categories, this dictionary provides a
nuanced and insightful look into the values underpinning our individual and collective lives.
These are the 10 life skills:
 Coping with emotions
 Communication skills
 Creative Thinking
 Decision-Making skills
 Critical Thinking
 Empathy
 Interpersonal skills
 Problem-Solving skills
 Self-Awareness
 Stress Management

1. Creative Thinking: the ability to generate innovative ideas, solutions, and products.
These are some components of Creative Thinking:
Imagination, Flexibility, and Originality.

2. Critical Thinking: systematically evaluating and analyzing information and ideas to


form a judgment or decision.
These are some components of Critical thinking:
Analysis, Evaluation, and Inference.

3. Coping with emotions: can be challenging, but there are effective strategies to manage
and regulate your feelings.
These are some components of Coping with emotions:
Recognition, Acceptance, and Regulation.
4. Communication Skills: is the ability how you put your words when talking to others,
so it is a skill that you use every day and get better at as you go along.
These are some components of Communication Skills:
Receiver, Decoding, and Active Listening.

5. Decision-Making Skills: is a skill you need to make an informed, rational decision.


These are some components of Decision-Making Skills:
Creativity, Problem Solving, and Collaboration.

6. Empathy: the ability to understand someone and share advice and feelings with them.
These are some components of Empathy:
Curiosity, Ask questions, and Emotional Intelligence.

7. Interpersonal Skills: an ability to communicate with people like socializing.


These are some components of Interpersonal Skills:
Teamwork, Leadership, and Motivation.

8. Problem Solving Skills: Identify the problem, analyse the problem, find possible
solutions, and choose the best solution.
These are some components of Problem-Solving Skills:
Collaboration, Logical Reasoning, and Lateral Thinking.

9. Self-awareness: conscious knowledge of one's character and feelings.


These are some components of Self-awareness:
Physical, emotional, and mental.

10. Stress management: offers a range of ways to help better deal with stress and
difficulty, also called adversity, in your life.
These are some components of Stress Management:
Meditation, Exercise, and Stress.
