The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate
the profession of Company Secretaries in India. It is a premier national professional body set up under an act of Parliament,
the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. ICSI functions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of
India. The Institute provides top-quality education to the students of Company Secretaries (CS) Course and best quality set
standards to CS Members. At present, there are more than 65,000 members and around 2.5 Lakhs students on the roll of ICSI.

ICSI has its headquarters at New Delhi, four Regional Offices at New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and 72 Chapters across
India.

ICSI has been contributing to the initiatives of Government of India that have potential to excel the social-economic growth
of India.

ICSI-CCGRT’s

The Institute in all its introductions, mentions its infrastructural facilities with great honour, for they are a firm part of our
legacy of more than five decades. But as we all know, legacy is meant to be grown, to be taken forward. ICSI embarked on
the commencement of construction of ICSI-CCGRT Manesar. The commencement of construction of ICSICCGRT was held on
May 20, 2023 at Plot No. 3, Sector 2, IMT Manesar, Gurugram at the hands of Hon’ble Rao Inderjit Singh Ji, Union Minister of
State (I/C), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Ministry of State (I/C), Ministry of Planning and MoS for
Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India to whom we shall be eternally grateful for guiding us with his luminary
presence. Akin to ICSI-CCGRT at Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata, the idea is to provide research and training avenues
readily accessible to the members, students and other stakeholders of the ICSI. A one of its kind research facility, the ICSI-
CCGRT, Manesar is intended to add value to the existing ocean of knowledge and contributing towards our stakeholders in the
Northern part of the Country. Going forward, the Council has decided to name all the Research and Training Centres as ICSI
Centre for Corporate Governance, Research and Training (ICSICCGRT). ICSI also publishes a Journal called Chartered
Secretary Journal.

If a candidate wishes to seek admission into the Company Secretary Course of ICSI after passing class 12th or appearing in
class 12th, he / she needs to qualify for CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) for getting admission into the Executive
Programme of the Company Secretary Course. The Syllabus for CSEET comprises of an Online Company Secretary Executive
Entrance Test (CSEET) consisting of Four (4) parts, Seven (7) Papers at Executive Programme and Seven (7) Papers at
Professional Programme including Two Papers as elective papers. The Syllabus of Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test
(CSEET) comprises of four parts: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude with Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude,
Economic and Business Environment and Current Affairs.
