Project Title
"Building Your First Website: A Comprehensive Design Using HTML and CSS"
Project Objective
The objective of this project is to introduce first-semester students to the fundamentals of web
development. Students will learn to create a structured, visually appealing, and responsive
website using HTML and CSS. This project will foster creativity, logical thinking, and
practical skills in designing and building a functional website.
Project Scope
Students are required to create a multi-page website on a topic of their choice (e.g., a personal
portfolio, an e-commerce website, or a blog). The project must include essential web
elements and demonstrate proper usage of HTML and CSS techniques.
Project Deliverables
1. Website Design
o At least 3 to 5 pages (e.g., Home, About, Services, Gallery, Contact).
o Consistent design and layout across all pages.
2. HTML Features
o Proper use of headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables.
o Embedding images, videos, and links (internal and external).
o Form creation (e.g., Contact Us form).
3. CSS Features
o Application of inline, internal, and external CSS.
o Styling text, colors, backgrounds, and borders.
o Use of box model (margin, padding, border).

Development Guidelines
1. Planning Phase
o Choose a theme or topic for your website.
o Create a sitemap outlining the structure of the website (flow of pages).
o Draft wireframes for each page to visualize the layout.
2. Implementation Phase
o Build the website step by step:

Add styles using CSS to make the design appealing.
Make the website responsive using media queries.
3. Documentation
o Students must submit a report covering the following sections:
Introduction to the website topic.
Step-by-step development process.
Challenges faced and solutions implemented.
4. Submission Format
o Folder containing all HTML and CSS files.
o Images or assets used in the website.
o Documentation in PDF format.
