Kate Umayam SLIDE 3

Once again, good afternoon to our participants and thank you for coming
to today’s event.

Given that UVU incorporates a large number of projects and advocacies,

our seminar for today is very much in line with the duties of our
organization. Today’s project management training is for our
organization’s core team to improve and develop their abilities in
managing and delivering projects effectively.

Becca Galedo That’s right! As volunteers who are constantly seeking to spread
awareness of our advocacies, we really need to solidify our
understanding of handling projects. And today’s session aims to do
exactly just that! Aren’t you excited for what’s in store for us this
afternoon, Toni?

Kate Umayam Of course, Becca. I definitely am, however before beginning with the
event, may we call on Ms. Jiana Reyes to lead us in our opening prayer.

Jiana SLIDE 4
OPENING PRAYER

Let us all remember that we are in the most Holy presence of the Lord.

Loving God, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to gather here
today. May You bestow Your guidance and blessings on this event so that
together, we may learn how to embody the values of this organization
and continue to create meaningful projects that are in-line with our
advocacies. Please bless everyone present today that each may be able
to share what he or she has for your glory and honor.

We ask all of these in your name, Amen.

Kate Umayam SLIDE 5

Thank you, Jiana. Now, to officially welcome us to this event, may we call
on Ms. Samantha Eala, the Project Assessment Division Head, for her
opening remarks.

Sam SLIDE 6
OPENING REMARKS

Good afternoon, everyone! First and foremost, it is with great pleasure

that I welcome all of you to the UVU Project Management Training
Webinar. Your presence today albeit virtual is heartwarming and
extremely gratifying for the organization as we can see your great interest
in learning how to properly and effectively manage projects.

We conceptualized this event today because we want to invite speakers

to share their knowledge and experiences in project management. We
believe that this will greatly benefit and impact the many objectives that
all of us want to achieve in order to provide service and improve the lives
of our children.

This project was instrumental through the help of the members of our
very own Project Assessment Division who devoted so much time to
make sure that our event today is productive and successful.

Later on, we hope to enlighten you with newfound learnings and to help
you hone your skills in generating projects that will surely aid in
broadening the reach of our organizations advocacies. Allow yourselves
to listen to the many insights of our speakers and feel free to ask them
questions as well. We certainly hope and want to ask everyone to
participate actively in our discussions today.

Again, I would like to thank you for making time in your busy schedules
and for joining us in this momentous event of the organization. We look
forward to your continuous support and for your presence in our future
projects. Thank you and welcome to all of you.

Becca Galedo SLIDE 7

Thank you Sam for that wonderful introduction.

Let’s now head to the introduction of our first speaker for today. A little
trivia is that he used to be a public relations officer of UVU from the years
2005-2006, making him familiar with the system of our organization.

Kate Umayam Tama ka dyan, partner. Our first speaker is no other than Mr. Ravien
Espina Bracero!

SLIDE 8

He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor’s

degree in Fine Arts majoring in Advertising. Mr. Bracero also has a
masters in Motion Picture and TV Production which he took in the
Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, California. Under his name,
he has been part of many film productions, such as Diablo, Freefall, and
Christmas Bonus. Currently, he is a supervisor for external marketing in
Concentrix Philippines and an assistant director in Suarez: Healing
Priest. He is extremely well versed in the world of tv and events
production.

Let us now welcome Mr. Ravien Espina Bracero! Let’s give him a virtual
round of applause!

*short spiel for ice breaker (Guess the gibberish)*

SLIDE 12

For our ice breaker, we will be playing Guess the Gibberish! So from the
name itself, our players will be guessing the right word or phrase hidden
behind a bunch of gibberish.

Kate Umayam SLIDE 13

The mechanics of this game are very simple! Players are given 30
seconds to guess the correct word. Once the timer is done and no one
got the correct answer, we will be moving on to the next item. Everyone is
encouraged to join the game and have fun! But before you can give your
answer, kindly use the raise hand button first and wait for our
acknowledgement before you unmute your mic.

Are you guys ready? Can I see a thumbs up? Okay let’s start!

Let us now move forward to the introduction of our second speaker for
today’s webinar. Just like most of us, our second speaker is also a BS
Org. She manages to ace her acads and to be an active member of her
organizations at the same time.

Becca Galedo SLIDE 31

*credentials of speaker 2*

Yes partner, that is true. Our second speaker is a graduating college

student taking up Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Ateneo de Manila
University. Currently, she is the Vice President for Community Relations
of Barefoot Philippines, a student-led organization that supports UNICEF
Philippines in advocating children’s rights. Before being the Vice
President for Community Relations, she first became the Associate Vice
President for Advocacy Projects and the Community Relations Officer of
the same organization. She also spearheaded projects for Ateneo
Environmental Science Society, where she became a Project Head and a
Project Manager for two of their events.

Let’s now pass the floor to Ms. Michaela Acero! Let’s give her a virtual
round of applause!

Ms. Michaela TALK 2

Kate Umayam ● I love how Ms Mica showed us the realities of project management, from the
preparation, venue processing, to the actual event day both in the f2f and online
set-up. The concept of contextualization was also mentioned which I think is very
essential in an event’s success because as an advocacy-based organization, we
firstly aim to address the problems or issues in line with our goals. It is also
important to stick with the main goal. And as an organization, we have members
that could help us and I totally agree how Ms Mica emphasized to always ask for
help.
