1. Mohan Sharma wants to name a range but does not know how to do it. Give
him to do so?
Ans  Mohan Sharma should do the following :
Step 1 : Select desired cells.
Step 2 : Go to Sheet menu.
Step 3 : Click on Name command.
Step 4 : Type the new name in the box and press Ok.

2. Identify the various components of Calc window.


Ans  These are the following components of Calc window :
(i) Row : It is identified by number from 1 to 1048576.
(ii) Column : It is denoted by letters from A to AMJ.
(iii) Cell and Cell Address : The box made by intersection of rows and
columns are known as cells. The address formed by column name followed
by row number is known as cell address.
(iv) Active Cell : The cell having bold boundary is known as active cell.
(v) Cell Range : Continuous selection of cells in rectangular shape is known
as cell range.
(vi) Name Box : It displays name of active cell.
(vii) Worksheet : It is grid of rows and columns. It is similar to page.
(viii) Work book : Collection of worksheets is known as work book. It is a file of
spreadsheet.

3. What is spreadsheet?
Ans  It is an application software which is mainly used for calculation, chart
and database maintenance. Example : MS Excel, Open Office Calc, Lotus etc

1. Explain the difference between animation and transition effects on a
presentation.
Ans  Animation is special sound or visual effect that is added to various
objects including text on the slide.
Transition is also a special effect which is applied on slide and it is
displayed during changing of slides.

2. What is presentation software?


Ans  A graphics software used to create a presentation is known as
presentation software. Example : MS Power point, Open Office Impress etc
