Project Outline

The CGK#4 project is BDx’s first cloud service partnership with NVIDIA in Indonesia. The goal
was to quickly achieve "Ready for Service" status with high quality. To expedite
deployment, key outdoor components like chillers, generators, transformers, and power
train units were prefabricated. The Data Hall employed Fan Wall technology and intelligent
containment systems to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery.

Major Milestones

The BDx CGK#4 project commenced in Q1 2023 with a kickoff meeting and site selection,
choosing CGK#4 for the deployment of NVIDIA’s AI technology. By Q2-Q3 2023, design
finalization and prefabrication of key components like chillers and generators were

completed. Construction proceeded from Q4 2023 to Q1 2024, involving site preparation
and the rapid assembly of prefabricated units, followed by the installation of power and
cooling systems. Testing and commissioning were carried out in Q2 2024, ensuring system
integration and operational readiness. The project was delivered "Ready for Service" in Q3
2024, with a final performance review and feedback collection in Q4 2024 to inform future
improvements. Key decisions included site selection in early 2023, design strategy in mid-
2023, and the deployment schedule in late 2023.

Key Innovation

The most innovative aspects of the BDx CGK#4 project were the use of prefabrication
technology, intelligent containment systems, and the adoption of NVIDIA's AI technology.
Prefabricating key components such as chillers, generators, and power units significantly
reduced deployment time and allowed for faster achievement of "Ready for Service" status,
while maintaining high-quality standards. The intelligent containment systems, including
Fan Wall technology, optimized energy efficiency and provided reliable power and cooling
solutions, essential for maintaining data center stability. Additionally, integrating NVIDIA’s
AI technology into the data center's infrastructure enabled seamless AI capabilities,
positioning BDx as a leader in next-generation AI-driven data centers. These innovations
helped overcome challenges like tight timelines, limited planning space, and the complex
logistical requirements of AI data center construction, ensuring the project met its
objectives of reliability, efficiency, and rapid deployment for local enterprises in Indonesia.

Meeting Objectives

Our strategic decisions and investments in the BDx CGK#4 project, particularly in
prefabrication technology, intelligent cooling systems, and NVIDIA AI integration, were key
to meeting both IT and business objectives. By leveraging prefabrication for chillers, power
units, and other critical infrastructure, we accelerated deployment while ensuring high-
quality standards, meeting the demand for rapid "Ready for Service" timelines. The Fan Wall
technology and intelligent containment systems ensured energy-efficient cooling and
reliable power distribution, crucial for maintaining data center stability and security. The
integration of NVIDIA's AI platform enabled local enterprises in Indonesia to access cutting-
edge AI capabilities, aligning with business objectives of driving innovation and supporting
local AI demand.

Impact & Outcomes

The BDx CGK#4 project had a significant impact both at the organizational and community
level by advancing AI technology adoption in Indonesia and setting a benchmark for
sustainable, AI-driven data centers. For BDx, the project enhanced its competitive
positioning by offering cutting-edge AI capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and
reducing energy consumption, contributing to lower costs and increased client satisfaction.
On a community level, the project addressed the growing demand for AI infrastructure
among local businesses, empowering them with scalable and advanced AI resources to
drive innovation and economic growth. The impact is being measured through key
performance indicators (KPIs) such as deployment speed, energy efficiency, and client
feedback, with early results showing a 15% improvement in energy savings and faster
deployment timelines. As an exemplar for the wider data center community, the project
demonstrates the value of integrating AI with sustainable infrastructure and the use of
prefabrication to meet fast-evolving industry demands. It showcases how next-generation
data centers can balance innovation, efficiency, and sustainability while addressing the local
business environment's needs.
