Topic-energy resources
Generating renewable energy creates for lower emissions than burning fossil fuels. Transitioning from
fossil fuels, which currently account for the lion’s share of emissions, to renewable energy is key to
addressing the climate crisis.
Renewables are now cheaper in most countries, and generate three times more jobs than fossil fuels..

Slide 3
Giant windmills are called wind turbines with two or three blades each up to 30m long drive electrical
generators.
Wind energy is an indirect form of solar energy created by a combination of factors, including
(Wind turns the propeller-like blades of a turbine around a rotor, which spins a generator, which
creates electricity.)

Non-renewable resources
A non-renewable resource (also called a finite resource) is a natural resource cannot be readily
replaced by natural means at a pace quick enough to keep up with consumption.
An example is carbon-based fossil fuels.
Energy is stored as chemical energy and at present they are our main energy source.
