1) Scenario 1: Basic Computer Operations

You are working on a project and your computer suddenly freezes. You try clicking on
different icons, but nothing happens. What steps will you take to troubleshoot this issue?
Provide at least three actions you can take.
Answer the following questions:
i What are the first steps you would take when encountering a frozen computer?
ii Describe how you would use keyboard shortcuts to attempt to close
unresponsive programs.
iii Explain how you could use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to troubleshoot
the frozen computer.
iv Suggest a method to restart the computer safely if traditional methods fail.
2) Scenario 2: Performing Basic File Operations

You need to transfer a presentation file from your computer to a USB flash drive. However,
when you try to copy the file, you receive an error message stating that the destination disk is
full. How will you proceed to transfer the file successfully?
i How would you verify the available space on the USB flash drive before attempting to copy
the file?
ii Describe a method to compress the presentation file to reduce its size for successful transfer.
iii Explain how you could delete unnecessary files or folders from the USB flash drive to free
up space.
iv Suggest an alternative method to transfer the file if the USB flash drive continues to show
errors.

You notice that your computer is running slower than usual. Upon investigation, you find
that your hard drive is almost full. Describe two methods you can use to free up disk space
and improve your computer's performance.
i Discuss how you could use the Disk Cleanup utility to free up disk space on your computer.

ii Explain the process of uninstalling unused programs to free up disk space.

iii Describe how you could move large files or folders to an external storage device to free up
space.

iv Suggest a method to regularly monitor and manage disk space to prevent future issues.

provide your personal information to claim it. What steps will you take to ensure your
computer's security and protect your personal information?
i What are the signs of a suspicious email, and how can you identify potential phishing
attempts?
ii Describe how you could verify the legitimacy of the sender before responding to the email.
iii Explain why it's important not to click on any links or download attachments from unknown
senders.
iv Suggest a method to report the suspicious email to your email provider or relevant authorities
for investigation.
