Abstract :
The Flame Sensor Detector project aims to design and develop a reliable and
efficient flame detection system using Arduino and a flame sensor module.
This project explores the working principle, circuit design, and programming
aspects of the flame sensor detector. The detector’s performance is
evaluated through experiments, and its advantages, limitations, and
potential applications are discussed.
Introduction :
Fire accidents can cause significant damage to life and property. Early
detection of flames is crucial to prevent the spread of fire and minimize
losses. Traditional fire detection systems often rely on smoke detectors,
which may not detect flames promptly. In contrast, flame sensors can detect
infrared radiation emitted by flames, providing a faster and more reliable
detection method.
Literature Review :
Methodology :
3. Programming : The Arduino code is written to read the flame sensor data,
trigger the buzzer and LED when a flame is detected, and display the sensor
data on the serial monitor.
The flame sensor detector successfully detected the candle flame and
triggered the buzzer and LED. The detector demonstrated high accuracy and
reliability in detecting flames. The response time was approximately 1-2
seconds, which is acceptable for most fire detection applications.
1. Fire Detection Systems : The detector can be integrated into fire detection
systems for industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.
1. *Limited Range*: The detector has a limited range and may not detect
flames at a distance.
