Background of the Study
In software development, there are two roles to be considered which is the frontend and
backend developer which both has far differences in areas and task required to perform in
building and deployment. Frontend development focuses on the user interface, the part users
directly interact with while backend development deals with the server-side logic, database, and
data processing.
Recently there’s been a growing demand for student developers who can handle both frontend
and backend as well as outlining the important skills and knowledge required for each student.
To succeed in either computer science should focus on developing strong programming skills
stay updated with the trends and just focus on developing frontend and backend.
This study aims to have the ability to understand the difference between front-end and back-
end development. This seeks to … is very important for any computer science student as it helps
them understand how web applications function and what skills are needed in both software
development. Thus this knowledge would be a valuable reference point for building up their
skills and making proper career decisions.

Main Objectives
To understand the comparison between frontend and backend for computer science student
skills references.
Specific objectives
 To discover the skills preferences of NVC if its front or back end.
 To explore learning paths in frontend and backend skills on NVC.
 To determine a knowledge of Computer Science Students about
frontend and backend
 To measure how the Skills of Computer Science Students about
frontend and backend development.

Scope and Limitations

This study focuses on determining the comparison between the


frontend and backend for Computer Science Students for skills references
using a descriptive cross-sectional research design to gather data at a single
point in time. This study is limited to computer science student of
Northwestern Visayan Colleges from first year to fourth year level, and does
not extend to other department students or professionals.

development?
3. What emerging technologies are you most excited about in the field
of frontend and backend development?
4. What do you prefer as developer, front end or back end? Why?
