THE DEATH PIT
The two fighters enter the pit to the deafening screams of a thousand
bloodthisty fans. They will fight until one fighter wins three rounds.
That fighter gruesomely kills the other and wins the match.
Let the carnage begin. FIGHT!
Every Round roll 2 D12s and add them together. FIGHTER 1 TO WIN
Round Match
If the number is greater than or equal to the higher of the two
Fighter scores, that fighter wins!
If the number is less than or equal to the lower of the two Fighter
scores, that fighter wins!
FIGHTER 2 TO WIN
If the number is EXACTLY one of the Fighter scores, that fighter
Round Match
gets a kill shot and instantly wins the match.
If it’s in between the two Fighter scores it’s a draw, keep rolling.
Betting: DRAW
Players can bet on each round of the fight before the round
is rolled. You can bet for either fighter to win or for a draw
or they can bet on a fighter to win the whole match. Bets
are paid and collected after each round, but the gambler
can’t cash out until the match is over. Payouts are 1/1 on the
rounds and 2/1 on the whole match.

GM NOTES This mechanic can be played solo, as
a one shot Cy_Borg event, or as part
of a campaign. The key is to make
the descriptions of the fighters and
the fights as detailed as possible. Use
the backgrounds and trates to bring
the fighters to life and really lean in
to the violence and chaos of each
round. The betting adds another
level of engagement and risk for the
players, so don’t loose track of the
wins and losses. Add cool backstories
or other elements to the fights to
make it your own!
Variations Killmatch Fighter
Take the winning fighter on to the next round tournamant style HP: Weightclass / Armor: -D4 / Morale: Toughness
Roll up a bunch of fighters in advance and do a bracket style fight. Let Weapon:
players bet on their bracket predictions. Shock Knuckles & Spiked Bat - D4
Introduce the characters to one of the fighters in advance to raise the stakes. Machette & Sledge Hamer - D6
If a player wants to get in the ring, assign their opponent the stat block to the Chainsaw & Battle Axe - D8
right and only allow mele weapons. Use the Cy_Borg combat rules.
