ICD SECTION VI- AWARDS

The ICD Section VI Awards by the International College of Dentists (India, Sri
Lanka, Nepal) recognize exceptional community-oriented oral healthcare initiatives in
2024. The awards aim to celebrate excellence and commitment to public dental health
through community service.

Eligibility & Competition Timeline:

Competition Duration: The activities to be reported should take place between 1st
January 2024 and 30th November 2024.

Report Submission Deadline: All reports must be submitted by 25th December 2024.

Award Presentation:

Awards will be presented at the Convocation Ceremony, 23rd February 2025,


Chennai.

Submission Guidelines

1. The report must be typed in Arial font, size 12, with double spacing.
2. Use larger and bold font for headings.
3. Highlight key points using colors for better clarity and presentation.
4. Digital submissions only – No hard copies will be accepted.
5. Submission Email: Please send your application to [email protected].
6. Once submitted, please WhatsApp a confirmation message to 9810019636 (Dr.
Yogesh Kumar Virmani, Secretary General) to acknowledge receipt of your
submission.
7. Each institution/organization may submit a particular program for specific category.
Awards.

 Application Details: College name, program specifics (date, location, type,


objectives, activities summary (250 words), impact, sustainability, stakeholders,
funding, media coverage, role of ICD Fellows and contact info.

Institution/ Organisation Based Award:

1. Dr. D.N. Kapoor Award


Focus: Significant community dentistry projects with lasting public health impact.
Outreach to rural/remote areas, underprivileged populations, and high-risk groups.

2. Sh. Prabhu Diyal-Jamna Devi Memorial Award: For dedication to


community service, including free check-ups, education, and cancer
detection.

3. Dr. Kedar N. Rustagi Award: For contributions in promoting oral health


and treatment to underprivileged groups (rural, tribal, slum populations,
those with special needs).
