ART ART1 AS
Freshmen: One year biology with lab; one year chemistry with lab; 3 years of h.s. math through
trigonometry.
Transfers: If h.s. requirements are not met: one semester of college biology or chemistry or physics
BIOLOGY BIO1 AS or Anatomy & Physiology, completion of NCC's MAT 109 (algebra & trig.) or college math at other
colleges.
All Applicants: Placement in remediation will remove applicant from consideration.
Freshmen: One year of high school chemistry with lab, and placement into MAT 111 Pre-Calculus based
on the NCC placement exam.
Transfer Applicants: If the high school requirements are not met, completion of one semester of college
CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY CHE1 AAS level chemistry with lab, (e.g. NCC’s CHE 107 Introduction to Chemistry) or higher, and completion of
NCC's MAT 109 (College Algebra & Trigonometry) or equivalent math course at another college.
CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY ENS1 AAS 2 years h.s. science (one with lab.); 2 years h.s. math, including algebra II.
COMMUNICATION ARTS COM2 AA Some courses required for degree not available in the evening.
Student must be ready for Calculus 1 their first semester in the program by 1) placement, or 2) transfer
credit of Pre-Calculus or higher level math with at least a C, or 3) successful completion of MAT 111:
COMPUTER SCIENCE CMP2 AS Pre-Calculus with at least a C prior to start of program. Placement in remediation will remove applicant
from consideration.
CREATIVE WRITING ENG1 AA Placement in remediation will remove applicant from consideration.
CULINARY ARTS HTL6 AOS Admission limited each semester. Interview for acceptance to the program is required. No evening program.

HUMAN SERVICES: COMMUNITY SERVICE Minimum 80 h.s. average, or completion of 12 college credits with a minimum 2.75 GPA. Placement in
SOC1 AA remedial English or reading will remove applicant from consideration.

Available as a daytime, evening or weekend program. For students interested in areas such as: Nursing,
LIB ARTS & SCI: HUMANITIES & SOC SCI Allied Health Sciences, Architecture, Economics & Finance, Foreign Languages, History, Philosophy,
LAAA AA Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and other areas as well. Completion of NCC degree prepares
students for transfer into third year at most senior colleges.

Fall admission only. No evening program. All applicants: Grades of 70 or higher in the following:
H.S. biology with lab, H.S. chemistry with lab, and one year of college preparatory math. If H.S.
requirements are not met, contact department chairperson. All applicants, including college graduates,
MORTUARY SCIENCE must supply an official high school transcript. Must be legally eligible for licensure and employment in
MSC1 AAS the U.S. at the time of application. No courses from other Mortuary Science programs will be accepted;
Deadline: March 5, 2025 but all transcripts, including high school, must be emailed to [email protected]. Placement in
remediation will remove applicant from consideration.
