9. Name any two developable surfaces. 4 1
10. Radial line development of surfaces is used to develop ________ and _________ 4 2
PART B CO BTL
1. Draw the lateral surfaces of the square prism of side 30 mm and axis height 60 mm. 4 4
2 Draw the top view of a room, the line plan of which is given in Fig 4 4

3. Develop the lateral surface of a rectangular prism of size 20 mm x 30 mm and axis

4 4
height 60 mm.
4 How will you represent the following in civil drawing plan? A) Door, B) Window,
4 4
and C) Sunshade
5 Draw any four symbols used for materials in building drawing. 4 3
6 Draw the development of the lateral surface of a cone of base diameter 50 mm and 4 4
axis 70 mm.
7 Develop the lateral surface of a pentagonal prism of base side 30 mm and axis height 4 4
60 mm.
8. Develop the lateral surface of a hexagonal prism of side 30 mm and axis height 60 4 4
mm.
9 Draw the development of the lateral surface of a cone of base diameter 40 mm and 4 4
axis 60 mm, when it is cut by a sectional plane parallel to its base and 25 mm from
the apex
10 A cylinder has a diameter of 50 mm and altitude 70mm. It rests with its base on HP. 4 3
Draw the development of the cylinder.
PART C CO BTL
1 A cylinder of base diameter 50 mm and axis length 70 mm rests with its base on HP. 4 4
It is cut by a plane inclined at 30° to HP and passing through the right corner of the
top face of the cylinder. Draw the development of the lower portion of the cylinder.
2 A cone of base diameter 50 mm and axis length 70 mm rests with its base on HP. A
section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined at 35° to HP bisects the axis of the 4 4
cone. Draw the development of the truncated cone.
3 Develop the lateral surface of a hexagonal prism having side of base 30 mm and axis 4 4
length of 60 mm resting with its base on HP such that one of its rectangular faces is
parallel to VP. It is cut by a plane inclined at 45 0 to HP and passing through the right
corner of the top face of the prism.
4 Draw the plan and elevation of a residential building, the line plan of which is shown 4 4
below.

5 Draw the development of the lateral surface of a cone of base diameter 40 mm and 4 4
axis 70 mm, when it is cut by a sectional plane parallel to its base and 20 mm from
the apex.
6 Draw the 4 4

7 Develop the lateral surface of a pentagonal prism having side of base 20 mm and 4 4
axis length of 50 mm resting with its base on HP such that one of its rectangular
faces is parallel to VP. It is cut by a plane inclined at 450 to HP and passing through
the right corner of the top face of the prism.
8 A hexagonal pyramid of base 35 mm and height 70 mm rest with its base on HP. An 4 4
edge of the base is parallel to VP and nearer to it. A horizontal section plane cuts the
pyramid and passes through a point on the axis at a distance of 25 mm from the
apex. Draw the development of the truncated pyramid.
9. A pentagonal pyramid of base side 35 mm and axis 65 mm is resting on HP with it 4 3
base such that, one of its base edges are parallel to VP. It is cut by a sectional plane
that is perpendicular to VP and inclined at an angle of 45° to HP, passing through the
axis point which is 20 mm from the apex. Draw the development of the truncated
pyramid.
10 Draw Plan and Elevation of the Residential Building as shown in the line drawing. 4 3
