ABSTRACT
It’s being a decade that entire world is focused towards the security of the data system. To
achieve this, the use of biometric security system has increased drastically. Among various kind
of biometric system, voice-biometric system is very effective and powerful technique for security
purpose. The voice biometric system initially uses the voice as an input to bring out the
characteristics which are specific to speakers use to make a statistical model. This model can be
also called as a voice signature of the users. For this entire process the development of
authenticate speakers corresponds to dialog recognition and conversion is most important and
critical. If the voice is already fetched and would like to enroll new voice, the same conversion
process should be carried out, with zero similarity index. At present many government and
private agencies are facing a strong need of efficient and high security concept, which can
replace the conventional approach of face or fingerprint biometric system. As it is very well
proven that the biometric methods have been used in wide range of application: from customer
recognition to the country’s security and constantly growing. In the present work we are
producing a short case study related to the company already implementing the voice biometric
system. During the pandemic situation like covid-19, the need for voice biometric has increased
because voice biometric identifies and authenticates the person without physical contact. This
study will be helpful to understand the work, progress and advancement happening in the field of
voice biometric system.

1. INTRODUCTION :
Security is an important term used in the present generation. In this context biometric
system plays an important role to keep the identity of every individual in view of physical and
behavioural actions. The use of biometric system has been drastically increased in various forms
such as face, fingerprint and voice recognition [1, 2]. Table 1 shows the comparative studies of
various biometric system available in market [3]. Among other forms, using voice for biometric
purpose have many advantages such as normal microphone can be used for recording, can be
easily taken up by users and reduces the overall cost of the system. Voice biometric system
embedded with biological and engineering science where, a user’s voice can be uniquely and
specifically identified for the purpose of authentication. Among other biometric process, voice
system grabbed an attention of researchers due to fast, secure and frictionless process which can
be used by IoT based devices or for physical access. From last few years advances in
biotechnology research also enhance the development of voice biometric systems. There are
mainly two important tasks performed by voice biometric system that’s is speaker identification
and authentication [4-6]. The voice biometric system is an emerging trend for the high security
alert for any organization [7]. The identification task helps to recognition of physiological
characteristics of a person with unique human voice. Whereas the authentication task helps to
compare the input voice with already fetched voice. If the similarity index is 100% than the
authentication will be approved or get denied by the system [8, 9].
Table 1. The comparative studies of different biometric system [Ref: 3].
The beauty of this entire system is, its effectives, accuracy and appropriate feature
irrespective of the environmental change. Conventionally identity of any individual or security
was completely dependent on set PIN, password, cards, but growing demand of advance
technology enables the automated systems to replace the traditional setups [10-12]. Voice
recognition system basically works on three types of interaction: text dependent, text
independent and text prompted. The use of voice-biometric system is being widely used and
implemented for remote access, forensic science, web services, voice-based banking, online
calling and criminal investigation as well [13, 14]. Fig.1. shows the global market analysis

In present work we are doing a case study of one such company who worked immensely
on the biometric system, and took pledge to make world and personally identity more unique
and secure. Extraction of voice signal is the major task for the development of voice-based
biometrics and many companies have taken initiative to work with it, one such company is
AURAYA. The company introduces innovative technology in the field of voice biometric with
development of ArmoraVox. AURAYA mainly works and offer many communication platforms
to alter the expense and traditional methods and provides reliable solution for many applications.
Overcoming the boundary of communities, AURAYA offers many such featured applications of
voice biometrics which can be used for home detention, interactive voice interview, compliance
monitoring and many more. The overall module system prepared by AURAYA can be used
individually or with any other integrated devices.
2. OBJECTIVE & METHODOLOGY:
The main objective of present study to understand the concept of voice biometric system and
its usage and development. The case study about the company who are major provider of voice
biometric system is another objective of this study.
The current scenario about security is an important agenda throughout the world. Therefore
systematic literature survey and data analysis in the field of biometric and specifically in voice
biometric are discussed. The technology advancement by different companies in particular field
is also discussed.
3.2. ArmorVox
A very famous product ArmorVoxTM from Auraya is mainly used for the voice-biometric
systems. ArmorVoxTM mainly works on machine learning algorithms to make speaker based
atmospheric model as per the individual requirement with excellent performance. The designed
algorithms are initially set threshold for individual voice signature which can meet the desired
security purpose. The automated tunning is another feature of ArmorVox TM to overcome the
barrier of languages. Fig. 3. Shows basic structure of any voice-biometric implementation by any
company.
From different enrolment categories of active, passive and background analysis, user can enrol
to the particular system at any time by using any methods [17. 18]. The voice-biometric system
can also use text-dependent, independent and prompted provided by ArmorVoxTM within the
same setup. ArmorVoxTM is very specific about drivers by using cross matching property. These
are the unique features which makes Auraya one of the leading companies in the field of voice-
biometric system.

6. CONCLUSIONS:
The voice-biometric system is a future of the advanced technology. Current market and
research are having a requirement of voice-biometric system which will be text independent and
embedded with other speech processing methods. The present work describes the case study of
Auraya a growing industry in the fields of voice-biometric system. The system is widely used in
the field of healthcare, finance, hospitality and education sector as well. The ArmorVox a voice
biometric product of Auraya provides most reliable, accurate, secured and low-cost system. The
company involves many advanced features for voice recognition and authentication. The
complete case study also explains the architecture, algorithm and methods used by Auraya. This
study also described the future prospective and objectives of the Auraya, to grab the huge market
for voice-biometric system.
