SAT Registration Walkthrough

1) Go to collegeboard.org
2) Create an account (if you do not already have one)
a. If you do have an account and have forgotten your password, you will need to
contact Collegeboard to reset it. Their contact information is on their website.
3) After you have created your account, go back to the homepage.
a. There is a blue box at the bottom of the home page that says “SAT” - click this
box.
4) When you’re on the next page, there is a white box that says “Register
Now” – click this box.
5) On the next screen, there is a yellow box that says “Register” – click this box
6) Enter in your personal information.
7) Confirm graduation date and grade level.
a. Collegeboard will not let you proceed until you confirm these boxes.
8) Enter your demographic information.
a. This also asks you about your parents level of education as well
9) Enter your GPA and the classes you have taken during high school and the
year that you took those classes.
a. This section is optional but gives colleges good information about you.
10) Enter in your high school activities.
a. This section is also optional but gives colleges good information
about you.
11) Select Date and test Center.
a. You can take the test anywhere you like; we do not offer it at Cass, but you can
take it anywhere that is most convenient for you.
b. Select the date that is most convenient for you. Please be mindful of college early
action deadlines.
12) Upload a photo of yourself to Collegeboard.
a. This is used to verify your information on test day. Also, please make sure to
bring a valid ID on test day!!!
