with colleagues, teaching them a revolutionary concept:

guessing, and soon enough, others in the industry began to
see the light.

What started as Craig’s practical, no-nonsense strategy for


improving product development quickly picked up steam in
the tech world. The idea of putting the market—rather than
company egos—at the center of the product process really
resonated. Before long, this market-driven method formed
the basis of what we now call the Pragmatic Framework.

As word spread, Craig’s occasional training sessions


morphed into a full-blown curriculum, and by 1993,
Pragmatic Marketing was officially born (now known as
Pragmatic Institute). The goal? Simple: give professionals
