Good afternoon everyone. I am ERALD BILLY C. PILANGA from Achievers International
College of Culinary Arts and Technology.
You don’t have to worry about his presence. He is here to oversee the conduct of competency
assessment and to check if it is in accordance with the prescribed competency assessment
methodology and procedures. He will not be the one to assess you.
And I would like to acknowledge also the presence of the Assessment Centre Manager Ms.
____________.
IV. ATTENDANCE
Ok. Let me check first your attendance. This is the attendance sheet. Kindly affix your
signature and pass it to the other trainees. Please submit the attendance sheet if you are done.
When your name is called please come forward and submit your admission slip.
And reminder to everyone, before affixing your signature please double check the spelling of
your name if it is correctly spelled.
For the authenticity of your assessment application, I will compare your signature based in the
attendance sheet.

I have here with me your Accomplished Self-Assessment Guide which you filled up.
I have noticed that you checked all the YES column in your self-assessment guide so
meaning to say you are ready to take this assessment and can perform all the
competencies enumerated and prescribed in this qualification.
Alright, to put us all together at the right perspective there is a need for us to have common
understanding on the notions of assessment.
Assessment is a process of collecting evidence and making judgment on whether or not the
competency has been achieved.
Purposes of assessment

CONDUCT ORIENTATION
The CORE units of this qualification are clustered to form one assessment package for full
qualification. Meaning to say, you have to be competent in all units of competencies for you to
become competent for the qualification.
Events Coordinator
Conference Coordinator
Function Coordinator
In this assessment, you will be judged using both demonstration with oral questioning and interview.
It is expected that you can provide evidences on the core units of competencies specified in
competency standards.
While you are performing the tasks, I will be observing and after demonstration, I will be asking
questions related to your demonstration. You will be given specific instructions to guide you in your
tasks.
After the oral questioning, I will give feedback about your performance.
Now, may I tell you not to worry and please don’t be anxious and I want you to relax so that you can
think well because when you’re nervous you cannot perform well.
I would like to stress this further that the main purpose of assessment is to determine how well you
perform the unit of competency as indicated in the training regulations.
Along with this perspective, you don’t need to compete with one another. Rather, you have to test
yourself whether you meet the standard as prescribed in the Training Regulations. Once found
competent, you will be issued with NC III certificate. Hence, the impact of being a NC holder is
already a lifetime indelible mark place in you and you can use it in seeking employment as your
credential.
In the same manner as an Assessor, I must observe transparency in recording, adhere to quality
system, observe confidentiality in the records and must have integrity in doing such.

PERSONAL NECESSITIES
If you have some question or clarifications or if there is a need for me to translate any instructions
into your own dialect, I would be willing to entertain it.
If you need assistance, just raise your hand and I will be willing to assist you.
Let me remind you not to disturb your co-candidate and you are not allowed to go out from the
assessment centre when you already start performing the task.
LEGAL
Furthermore, after the assessment and decisions has been made, if you do not agree with my decision
as your assessor, you have the right to make an appeal, by writing a letter of appeal to the TESDA
Provincial Director at TESDA Isabela Zamboanga City Provincial Office.
IF NOT COMPETENT
On the other hand, if ever you will be declared NOT Yet Competent, you may apply for re-
assessment anytime at your own convenience. In case of assessment for a Full National
Qualification, you shall pay the full assessment fee based on the list of fees promulgated by the
TESDA Board that is Php 905.00
However, if you fail the assessment for two consecutive times, you are advised to go through a
refresher course before taking another assessment.

I have already provided you with the instructions to guide you in your task and
already written in the paper. Do it in a step by step manner as reflected in the
performance criteria. So, you will only be using your laptop and powerpoint
software as your tool and equipment.
Again, I will be observing you while you are performing the tasks. After your
demonstration, I will be asking you some questions related to your proposal
demonstration of the 8 unit of competencies.
The time now is 8:06 am and you will end by 12:06 pm.

understanding of bid materials and bid details. I also like how you integrate event concept and theme

an event program, though you have a detailed program flow, you need to consider the time of arrival
of your guest.
But your performance is within the standard requirements of the Qualification as prescribed in the
Training Regulations and Competency Based Curriculum. And since your performance meet the
critical aspect of competency I will now declare you COMPETENT.
Congratulations for performing well. You are indeed competent in the 8 units of core competencies
and now you are one of the NC III holders in Events Management Services NC III.

Mr.______________, based on the gathered evidence, I found out that you performed well in develop and
update event industry knowledge. I like how you balance modern vibes with classic style. I also commend
you on how you incorporate new elements in your event layout.
However, you were not able to perform the critical aspect of competency particularly in Manage contractors
for indoor events , You need to identify the right contractors in your events and especially coordinating
multiple contractors as part of your overall event management process. Moreover, you have shown great
analytical skills in this session.
