1. I am not seeing where to locate cover page in the induction/unit 4. Is it okay if I
utilize a generic cover page from a former RKC module?
2. What is the minimum amount of time I can use for the recorded presentation?
3. Can you point to specific peer reviewed journals, theories, or frameworks required
to complete the 1000 words critical analysis?
You must produce a reflective paper of between 900 - 1100 words focusing on your experience throughout the
module – in particular the challenges faced in exploring literature, selecting and working with the different marketing
cases, identifying issues, developing insight, recording, and presenting your presentation.

The University provides a quick guide to reflective writing at

https://my.cumbria.ac.uk/Student-Life/Learning/Skills-Cumbria/Reflective-Writing/

You are advised to make use of a reflective model of your choice (e.g. Gibbs (1988) reflective model, Rolfe et al.’s
(2001), etc.) to structure and guide your reflection:

- Gibbs, G. (1988). Learning by doing: A guide to teaching and learning methods. Oxford: Further Education Unit,
Oxford Polytechnic. (https://my.cumbria.ac.uk/media/MyCumbria/Documents/ReflectiveCycleGibbs.pdf)

- Rolfe, G., Freshwater, D., & Jasper, M. (2001). Critical reflection for nursing and the helping professions: A user's
guide. Palgrave Macmillan. (https://my.cumbria.ac.uk/media/MyCumbria/Documents/ReflectiveModelRolfe.pdf)
Q&A
I have some additional questions. This is to ensure I am not missing anything to capitalize on the
best grade possible:

1. Based on the numbers provided. Are we expected to have the right calculations when doing the
written and oral presentation?

2. Which chapters from the book relates to the final? Asking because the assessment outline says
focus only on the information/numbers from 2.2. So I am wondering if concepts like depreciation
from chapter 3 is to be included, as well ARR, PP, NPV, and IRR from chapter 14, and concepts
from any other chapter that may be essential. Just trying to ensure I hit all the points and address
every essentials for the best grade possible.

3. If the above concepts have to be included (i.e. depreciation), is this to be done over the 5 year
period and would it matter if straight-line or reducing method is used?

4. What happens if per se the word count for the critical review and reflective piece exceeds 1000
and 300 words respectively. Will student be penalized for going over required word count, even
though total word count is 4000?

Asking because I am yet to write the critical piece and do the recorded presentation since I am not
sure if only to keep discussion based on the information from the assessment brief or if other
things are to be included like depreciation, ARR, PP, NPV, and IRR, etc, to make the investment
decision and coming up with recommodations.
Q&A
I would like to confirm my understanding of the instructions regarding the 200-300 words for the
reflective section. Should these words be counted separately from the 1,000 words required for
question 2.2, or should they be included within the total, making it 1,000 words altogether?

What is meant by “based primarily on peer reviewed sources”?

While working on point 2.2, from previous model (Organizational Behavior), we had very specific
instructions on fonts, margins etc, please advice if you have now specific instructions and that it is
ok if I use same template I used for my OB work. In addition, will the reference list and citations be
included in the word count?

Regarding presentation in 2.1, which is based on 2.2, may I use same wording or it should be
diffrent?
Q&A
1. For the tutorial on 18 November, I would like to request to clarify more about the structure of the
study:
The difference between 1000 words, 200-300 words;
All texts in the study will count for 1000 words?
If we can use tables, graphics?
What is expected on reflective (200-300 words) and if is part of 1000 words?

2. Prof. Duvid suggested "Gibbs’ reflective cycle" . Is this the cycle that we can use for the study?
