Scripture Reading: A selected Bible passage or reading is presented by a chosen reader.
Homily: The Officiating Minister delivers a sermon or message, offering guidance and blessings
to the couple.
Exchange of Vows: The couple stands before the altar and declares their vows to one another.
Exchange of Rings: The couple exchanges rings as a symbol of their commitment and love.
Unity Candle Ceremony: The bride and groom light a unity candle together, signifying the
merging of their lives.
Nuptial Blessing: The Officiating Minister offers a special blessing upon the couple.
Pronouncement of Marriage: The Officiating Minister announces the couple as husband and
wife.
Kiss and Recessional: The couple shares their first kiss as a married couple, followed by the
recessional.

WEDDING RECEPTION
Cocktail Hour: Guests are welcomed to the reception area with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Soft
background music sets the ambiance.
Grand Entrance of the Newlyweds: The DJ or emcee introduces the bride and groom as they
make their grand entrance to the reception venue.
Opening Prayer: A designated person offers a prayer to bless the meal and the celebration.
Welcome Remarks: The emcee or a chosen representative welcomes the guests and expresses
gratitude for their presence.
Toasts: Close family members and friends give toasts to the newlyweds, offering well wishes and
sharing heartfelt messages.
Dinner Service: Guests are invited to enjoy their meal while soft background music continues to
play.
Couple's First Dance: The bride and groom take the floor for their first dance together as a
married couple. They may choose a special song and choreography.
Father-Daughter Dance and Mother-Son Dance: The bride dances with her father, and the
groom dances with his mother. This is often followed by an open dance floor for guests.
Games and Entertainment: The emcee can organize fun games or interactive activities to engage
the guests and create an enjoyable atmosphere.
Special Performances: Friends or family members may present special performances, such as
singing, dancing, or instrumental acts, to entertain the guests.
Cake Cutting: The couple cuts their wedding cake together, symbolizing their unity and the
sharing of their first slice.
Bouquet and Garter Toss: The bride tosses her bouquet to single female guests, while the groom
removes the garter and tosses it to single male guests.
Money Dance (optional): The bride and groom take turns dancing with guests, who pin or tuck
money onto their attire as a gesture of well wishes and support.
Anniversary Dance: The emcee invites all married couples to the dance floor, gradually
eliminating couples until the couple married the longest remains, symbolizing enduring love.
Last Dance: The emcee announces the final dance of the evening, inviting all guests to join the
couple on the dance floor.
Farewell and Send-Off: The emcee or a designated person thanks the guests for their presence,
announces the end of the reception, and invites guests to bid farewell to the newlyweds.
ENTOURAGE
Principal Sponsors (Ninongs and Ninangs): These are the godparents of the couple, often chosen
for their wisdom and guidance. The number of principal sponsors can vary, but it is typically an
even number, such as 8 pairs or 12 pairs.
Maid/Matron of Honor: The bride's main attendant, usually a close friend or sister. The Maid of
Honor is unmarried, while the Matron of Honor is married.
Best Man: The groom's main attendant, typically a close friend or brother.
Bridesmaids: Close friends or family members who support the bride throughout the wedding
preparations and ceremony.
Groomsmen: Close friends or family members who support the groom throughout the wedding
preparations and ceremony.
Secondary Sponsors: These individuals perform specific roles during the wedding ceremony. The
number of secondary sponsors can vary, but it is typically an even number. The roles include:
Veil Sponsors: They place a veil over the shoulders of the bride and groom, symbolizing unity
and protection.
Cord Sponsors: They drape a cord in a figure-eight shape around the shoulders of the bride and
groom, symbolizing their bond and eternal unity.
Candle Sponsors: They light individual candles, which the bride and groom will later use to light
a unity candle, symbolizing the merging of their lives.
Flower Girl: Typically a young girl who scatters flower petals down the aisle before the bride's
