Problem Base Learning
To evaluate a more detailed 3-D model between the injector and producer well.
Instructions:
1. Select the corresponding data file but make sure include the physics of the reservoir in
your final report.
2. Sandstone, shale, mudstone.
3. Please update your data file with the specific values assigned to you in the provided
excel sheet, based on your registration number.
4. Use 2 saturation tables having 5 rows and 1 PVT table having 3 rows.
5. Reservoir Pressure: 6000 psi
6. Porosity: 20%
7. Production rate: 1500, 2000 & 2500 STB/D
8. Injection rate: 1500, 2000 & 2500 STB/D
9. BHP limit of production and injection well is 2000 and 9000 psi respectively.
10. Time period: 5 years with a time step of 2 days.
11. Compared with corresponding base cases, without injection.
12. Evaluate the field oil recovery efficiency (FOE) vs time.
13. Evaluate the field water production total (FWPT) with field oil production total
(FOPT) vs time in the single graph.
14. Evaluate the field oil production rate (FOPR) with field water production rate
(FWPR) vs time in the single graph.
Please submit your PBL in hard copy, including the last two pages printed out.
