Polyurethane Top Coat


PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
It is Aliphatic - Acrylic Polyurethane Coating containing high Titanium di oxide content and based on
Eco friendly Trimmer Technology . It has a high degree of gloss retention properties.

This product has High Volume Solid and in a blend of Nano Technology and Eco friendly additives.
Product is resistant to all type of mild chemicals , Oils , lubricants spillage . When applied over properly
primed surface forms a very densely cross linked film with lowest permeability to water vapors.

Product is based on very Fast Cure Technology ,which can be put the painted surfaces in early services

INTENDED USES For application on clean and primed steel surfaces. It recommended for structures in Refineries,
Chemical Plants, exterior of tanks & pipelines in marine weather.

Provides excellent adhesion and out standing UV resistance for protection in industrial, coastal structures,
pulp and paper plants, bridges and offshore environmental in both atmospheric exposure.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
In order to achieve best performance with this product ensure the best surface preparation. When applied
primer coat by brush & Rollers ensure thorough wetting out of the substrate by Pentathane HS 4510 .

Maximum film build in one coat is best attained by airless spray. When applying by methods other than
airless spray, the required film build is unlikely to be achieved.

Pentathane HS 4510 can be applied up to 100 Microns DFT in a single coat by airless spray as a part
of Protective coating system as per ISO-12944

Best Gloss & finish can be achieved when applied by Air assisted Gun

Surface temperature must always be a minimum of 3° C (5° F) above dew point.

Product is based on fast cure technology & surface can be taken for the early services other than
exposure to the mild chemicals. Early Foot / Equipments traffic is possible after 16 Hrs of Drying.

For chemical resistance complete cure of 7 days at 25°C or 4 Days at 40°C must be given.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The performance of this product will depend upon the degree of surface preparation.

The surface to be coated must be clean, dry and free from contamination. Prior to Top coat application,
all surfaces should be assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504:1992.

This product must be applied on properly prepared Primed surface , all contamination must be removed
from the surface by wiping with solvent or by using dry bristles brush. This top coat is the part of High
performance anti corrosive scheme

APPLICATION
Mixing Material is supplied in two containers as a unit. Always mix a complete
unit in the proportions supplied. Once the unit has been mixed it must be
used within the working pot life specified.

(1) Agitate Base (Part A) with a power agitator.


(2) Combine entire contents of Curing Agent (Part B) with Base
(Part A) and mix thoroughly with power agitator

Mix Ratio 9.0 parts: 1.00 parts by volume

Work Stoppages Do not allow material to remain in hoses, gun or spray


equipment.Thoroughly flush all equipment with Thinner 165. Once
unitsof paint have been mixed they should not be resealed and it is advised
that after prolonged stoppages work recommences with freshly mixed
units.

Clean Up Clean up all equipment immediately after use with Thinner 165 . It is good
working practice to periodically flush out spray quipment during the course
of the working day. Frequency of cleaning will depend upon amount
sprayed, temperature and elapsed time, including any delays.All surplus
materials and empty containers should be diagnosed of in accordance with
appropriate regional regulations / legislation

All work involving the application and use of this product should be performed in compliance with all
relevant national, Health, Safety and Environmental standards and regulations.

In the event welding or flame cutting is performed on metal coated with this product, dust and fumes
will be emitted which will require the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adequate
local exhaust ventilation.
