1st Week Adjective ‫صفت‬

Adjective is a word which is used to give more information about noun or pronoun.

.‫ صفت کلمه است که با اسم استعمال شده و معنی آنرا کامل میسازد و یا صفت یک اسم را توصیف می نماید‬:‫صفت‬
Examples: Shila is a clever student.
He is short.
Note: An adjective which is used alone with a verb and from a part of predicate is called predicative
adjective.
Example: The man is fat.
.‫ صفت که بعد از فعل قرار گیرد و قسمت از خبر را تشکیل دهد بنام صفت خبری یاد میشود‬:‫نوت‬

2nd Week Verb ‫فعل‬

Verb is used to show action or state of being.
.‫فعل کلمه است عمل یا حالت را نشان می دهد‬
Examples: I play football. , I study my lessons.
Verbs are divided into two parts:
1. Auxiliary verbs ‫افعال کمکی‬
2. Ordinary Verbs ‫افعال اصلی‬
Auxiliray verbs are divided into three parts:
I. Principal auxiliary vrebs
II. Model auxiliary verbs
III. Semi model auxiliary verbs

Parts of principle auxiliary verbs:

Parts of model auxiliary verbs:

Model auxiliary verbs consist into: Can, Could, Shall, Should, Will, Would, May, Might, must and
ought to….
Ordinary verbs are divided into two parts:
1. Transitive Verbs ‫افعال اصلی‬
2. Intransitive Verbs ‫افعال متعدی‬

3rd Week Adverb ‫قید‬

Adverb is a word which is used to add something to the meaning of a verb, adjective or another
adverb.
.‫ صفت و یا قید دیگری را کامل میسازد‬،‫قید کلمه است که معنی فعل‬

Example: He arrived to kabul safely.

Adverbs are nine in number:

1. Adverbs of manner
2. Adverbs of degree
3. Interrogative Adverbs
4. Relative Adverbs
5. Adverbs of frequency
6. Adverbs of reason
7. Adverbs of time
8. Adverbs place
9. Adverbs of affirmative and negative
Note: Adverbs of manner usually have ( ly ) at the end.

Possessive adjectives are placed before noun and show possession or ownership.
.‫صفات ملکی قبل از اسم قرار گرفته و ملکیت و مالکیت را نشان میدهد‬
Examples: That is my class. This is your marker.
Possessive adjectives are seven in number:

My His Her Its your Our Their

Examples:
My name is Nawab.
His hair is long.
Her friend is lazy.
It’s a nice book.
That is your Problem.
Mr Anwar is our teacher.
Munir amd Mousa are studied their lessons.
