3. Abstract
The abstract will be concise, summarizing the project in around 150-200 words.
Here's how it might look:

Abstract:
Air pollution in Delhi has become a critical issue due to its detrimental effects on public
health and the environment. The city's air quality continues to degrade despite various
measures taken by the government and environmental agencies. This project analyzes
historical and real-time air pollution data, focusing on pollutants such as particulate matter
(PM2.5) and nitrogen oxides. The study also reviews past government interventions and
their effectiveness, highlighting the role of traffic, industrial emissions, and stubble burning.
Based on these findings, the project proposes practical solutions, such as stricter emission
standards, promotion of electric vehicles, and enhanced green spaces. The results
underscore the need for a holistic approach to mitigate air pollution and ensure a healthier
environment for the residents of Delhi.

4. Introduction
This section will provide an overview of air pollution in Delhi, the significance of the issue,
and why it is an important topic for this project.

Introduction:
Air pollution in Delhi has reached alarming levels, making it one of the most polluted cities in
the world. The city's growing population, rapid urbanization, industrial expansion, and
increased vehicle emissions have all contributed to a deterioration in air quality. Particularly
during the winter months, air pollution spikes due to factors such as stubble burning in
neighboring states and the use of firecrackers during festivals. According to the World Health
Organization (WHO), air pollution is responsible for numerous health issues, including
respiratory diseases, heart conditions, and premature deaths. In response to the crisis, both
local authorities and environmental organizations have implemented several measures, such
as the Odd-Even scheme for vehicles and the installation of air purifiers in public spaces.
However, these actions have not been sufficient to reduce the city's pollution levels
significantly. This project aims to analyze historical air quality data, explore the effectiveness
of past interventions, and propose new solutions to combat air pollution in Delhi.

5. Problem Statement
The problem statement will focus on identifying the specific air pollution issue in Delhi and
why it needs urgent attention.

Problem Statement:
Delhi faces an ongoing air pollution crisis, with air quality levels frequently exceeding safe
limits. This has led to severe public health concerns, including respiratory diseases,
cardiovascular conditions, and a rise in premature deaths. Despite various government
measures aimed at reducing pollution, including vehicle restrictions and industrial
regulations, the problem persists. The key sources of pollution include vehicle emissions,
industrial output, construction activities, and the seasonal burning of crop residues in
neighboring states. In addition, the lack of stringent enforcement of pollution control
measures has hindered efforts to mitigate the crisis. The aim of this project is to analyze the
causes and consequences of air pollution in Delhi, assess the effectiveness of current
measures, and propose feasible solutions to reduce pollution levels.

6. Objectives
This section will list the objectives of the project in a bullet-point format.

Objectives:
1. To assess historical trends in air pollution levels in Delhi.
2. To analyze current air quality data and its impact on public health.
3. To evaluate the effectiveness of existing government interventions.
4. To propose practical solutions for reducing air pollution in Delhi.
5. To raise awareness about the consequences of air pollution and the importance of
sustainable practices.
7. Related Works and Literature Review
This section will summarize relevant studies and articles that contribute to understanding
the issue of air pollution in Delhi.

Related Works and Literature Review:

Many studies have explored the issue of air pollution in Delhi, focusing on the sources,
health effects, and possible solutions. A study by Sharma et al. (2020) examined the role of
vehicle emissions in the city's air quality and found that they are one of the largest
contributors to air pollution. Another study by Gupta and Kumar (2019) analyzed the
effectiveness of government policies such as the Odd-Even scheme and concluded that while
it provided short-term improvements, it did not address the root causes of pollution. Other
research, such as by Jain et al. (2021), has highlighted the importance of promoting
renewable energy sources and electric vehicles as long-term solutions. Despite these efforts,
the problem persists, indicating the need for more comprehensive and integrated measures
to combat pollution.

8. Problem Solution
This section will present a table outlining potential solutions to reduce air pollution.

9. Results and Discussions

Here, you will present and analyze the data from both historical records and real-time
monitoring.

Results and Discussions:

Analysis of historical air quality data from 2015 to 2023 shows a consistent increase in
PM2.5 and NO2 levels, particularly during the winter months. This is largely attributed to the
burning of crop residues in nearby states and increased vehicular emissions. Measures such
as the Odd-Even scheme and the introduction of electric buses have led to marginal
improvements in air quality, but the overall reduction in pollutants has been minimal. The
public health impact remains significant, with rising cases of asthma, bronchitis, and other
respiratory diseases.
The introduction of green spaces has shown potential in urban areas, with studies indicating
a correlation between the presence of parks and lower levels of particulate pollution.
Furthermore, the promotion of electric vehicles, although still in its early stages, could
significantly contribute to lowering vehicle emissions if expanded.

10. Conclusion and Future Work

The conclusion will summarize the findings and suggest areas for further research or action.

Conclusion and Future Work:

In conclusion, while some efforts have shown limited success in addressing air pollution in
Delhi, a more comprehensive and integrated approach is needed. This should include stricter
enforcement of emission standards, promotion of electric vehicles, expansion of green
spaces, and stricter control over stubble burning. Future work could involve a detailed
assessment of the effectiveness of specific policies, with a focus on real-time monitoring and
the development of sustainable urban planning strategies.
