What is Creo?
 Creo is the Creativity of new products.

 It can able Engineering Design, Analysis,

Manufacturing.

 Revolution in the CAD world introducing.

 Parametric Feature based, Associative solid

Modeling.

 It is developed by PTC based USA 1987.

 Latest release Creo 10.0

Modules:-

 Sketcher

 Part Modelling

 Assembly

 Drawing

 Format

 Notebook
Sketcher Entities (2D):-

 LINE –
A standard straight line that is defined by two points. It Can be used
to create part edges or Sketch. There is a another type of line that is
the tangent line .
A Tangent Line is a line that is exactly touching a curve or surface at
a single point, without crossing it.
 RECTANGLE –

1. Centered Rectangle: A rectangle created by specifying its

center point , width and height.
2. Cornered Rectangle: A rectangle created by specifying two
opposite corners.

3. Three-Point Rectangle: A rectangle created by specifying three

points on its perimeter.
4. Rotated Rectangle: A rectangle created by specifying its width,
height, and rotation angle.
 CIRCLE –
1. Circle: The basic circle defined by a center point and radius.
It is used for general circular features in sketches. There are
another type of circles used under this command.

2. Concentric Circle : A circle that shares the same center point

as another existing circle. It is useful for creating multiple
circles with a common center, often used in designs
involving rings or concentric patterns.
3. Tangent Circle: A circle created by specifying a point on its
circumference and a tangent line.

4. Three-Point Circle: A circle created by specifying three points

on its circumference
 ARCS –

1. Centered Arc: An arc created by specifying its center point,

radius, and arc angle.

2. Tangent Arc: An arc created by specifying a point on its

perimeter and a tangent line.
3 . Three-Point Arc: An arc created by specifying three points
on its perimeter.

4. Elliptical Arc: An arc created by specifying an ellipse and

an arc angle.
 ELLIPSE –
1. Centered Ellipse: An ellipse created by specifying its center
point, major axis, and minor axis.

2. Three-Point Ellipse: An ellipse created by specifying three

points on its perimeter.

\
 SPLINE –
1. *Linear Spline*: A spline with linear segments.

 FILLET –
A fillet is a rounded corner or edge on a solid model. It is used to
smooth out sharp corners and edges, and to provide a more
aesthetic appearance.

Types of Fillets in Creo

1. Variable Radius Fillet: A fillet with a varying radius along the

edge.
2. Edge Fillet: A fillet that is applied to an edge of a solid model.

 POLYGON –
1. Regular Polygon: A polygon with equal sides and equal angles.
2. Irregular Polygon: A polygon with unequal sides and unequal
angles.
3. Convex Polygon: A polygon with all internal angles less than 180
degrees.
4. Concave Polygon: A polygon with one or more internal angles
greater than 180 degrees

Constraints can be added:-

 Vertical : indicates a line segment is vertical.
 Horizontal: indicates a line segment is horizontal.
 Equal Length radii : indicates two line segments are of equal
length Or indicates two curves are of equal radii.

 Tangent : indicates two entities are tangent to each other.

 Parallel: indicates a segment is parallel to other entities.

 Midpoint: place a point in the middle of a line or arc

indicating its midpoint.

 Coincide: it is a colinear constrain .

 Perpendicular : indicates a segment is perpendicular to other
 Symmetry : indicates two points are symmetrical.

 Extrude

It is based on a two dimensional sketch.

It linearly extrudes a sketch perpendicular to the sketching

plane to create or remove material
 REVOLVE

A revolve feature to revolve a sketch about an axis of revolution

(0 to 360) Its easy to create shaft, cylindrical objects
 HOLES

A hollow place in a solid

It creates standard holes and also manual holes

Linear,coaxial, radial, countersink, counter bore

 SHELL

The shell feature hollows out the inside of a solid model, leaving a
shell of a specified wall thickness
 ROUND
AnatomyofaRound
Around consists of the following items:
•Sets—Round pieces(geometry) created pertaining to the
placement references. Round pieces consist of unique attributes ,
geometric.
•Transitions—Filler geometry that connects round pieces.
Transitions are located where round pieces intersect or
terminate. Defaulttransitions are used during the initial round
creation, though other transition types are available.
 CHAMFER
A chamfer is a feature in which you bevel an edge or corner.
Surfaces can be any combination of solid model surfaces and
quilts. You can create two types of chamfers:

1.Corner Chamfers
You create corner chamfers using the Corner Chamfer tool.
When you create a corner chamfer, you select a vertex
defined by three edges, and then you set length values along
each chamfer direction edge.

2.Edge Chamfers
You create edge chamfers using the Edge Chamfer tool. To
create edge chamfers, you define one or more chamfer sets.
A chamfer set is an organizational unit containing one or
more chamfer pieces (chamfer geometry).

 MIRROR

Use the Mirror tool to copy features or geometry about a

planar surface. The mirrored copy can be independent, or
dependent so it updates with the original feature or
geometry. You can also mirror entire patterns
