ACTIVITY 1

"WHAT’S IN A REACTION”

MATERIALS

-Graduated cylinder -Hydrogen peroxide


-Funnel -Yeast
-Food color -Warm water
-Dropper -Safety goggles and lab gown
-Test Tube -Dish washing liquid

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The foam could overflow from the cylinder, so be sure to do this experiment on a washable surface,
or place the cylinder on a tray.

The unreacted hydrogen peroxide can irritate skin and eyes. Read the safety information on the
hydrogen peroxide bottle and be sure to wear safety goggles.

PROCEDURES

1. Students who love experimentation will create a classroom scenario with chemical reaction as a
lesson. There must be a teacher that facilitates the activity.
2. This activity must be done in 3 minutes.
3. Among the members of the group, assign at least two members who present your work in front of
the class.
4. Use a funnel to carefully pour 1/2 cup of the hydrogen peroxide liquid into the Graduated cylinder.
5. Add about 10 drops of your favorite food coloring into the graduated cylinder.
6. Add about 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap into the cylinder and swish the cylinder around a bit to
mix it.
7. In a separate test tube, combine the warm water and the yeast together and mix for about 30
seconds. It should be about the consistency of melted ice cream- add a bit more warm water if
needed.
8. Now the adventure starts! Use the funnel to pour the yeast- water mixture into the cylinder and
watch the foaminess begin!

ACTIVITY 2
"MAKING CONNECTIONS”

MATERIALS

-A Jar with questionnaire

PROCEDURES
1. Students who love experimentation will create a classroom scenario with chemical reaction as a
lesson. There must be a teacher that facilitates the activity. This on-the-spot games are suited for
students who love brain- booster’s game as a workout.
2. Students among the group will be divided into two teams.
3. One person from each team must go against one another to answer the provided question.
4. If they get it right their team gets a point.
5. Points are collected as each team finds its answers to the question on the jar.

Note: You only have 3 minutes for the game


ACTIVITY 3
"EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED”

MATERIALS

-Cartolina
-Oil pastel
-Pencil

PROCEDURES

1. For students who love art or are visual learners, You will assign to draw the importance of
chemical reactions in everyday living.
2. You will be given 3 minutes to present your work.
3. Among the members of the group, assign at least two members who will present your work
in front of the class.

GUIDE QUESTIONS:

Q2. How do those chemical reactions take place?

Q3. What are the importance of each in your everyday living?

"WE SIMPLY CLICK TOGETHER”

MATERIALS

-Cartolina
-Pentil-pen

PROCEDURES

1. Students who are interested in music will create their own song structure and composition
patterned on what ever song or melody they want to.
2. Write the song in the cartolina.
3. You will be given 5 minutes for making a song and another 3 minutes for presentation.
4. All members of the group are expected to present in front of the class.
