Cross Product:: Complex Proportional Expressions
The cross product tells us we can multiply diagonally to get an equation with no fractions that we can
solve. This basic concept can be applied when there is a missing value from a proportion.

Complex Proportional Expressions: If the proportion has
more than one term in either numerator or denominator, we will
have to distribute while calculating the cross product.
REMEMBER – each numerator and denominator is its own
expression. When cross multiplying, the denominators and
numerators are in imaginary parenthesis, which turns the cross
multiplication into a distribution problem.
