CBTB Phase III: Web-Based Brokerage System

PROJECT OVERVIEW
In this CBTP phase three, we worked on the implementation of the web-based brokerage system
for Hirmata Mentina Kebele. It covers both general and specific objectives of the project, scope of
our project, intervention details of the project and significance and impact of our project. On this
phase, we implemented the planned document that we have designed on the previous CBTP phase
II (Appropriate technology and action plan). Given the proposed solution stated on that phase, on
this phase, the project applies almost all functional and nonfunctional requirements for the
Brokerage system.
This project is a web-based Brokerage system that can be used online. It is composed of different
functionalities such as user management, member registration, property listing to users by admins
and property listing, property management, view property for users of the system. The system also
has features such as update profile, see message, add post, viewing his own post and send message
for users. The web application uses client-server architecture, in which the end-users of the system
can manipulate and retrieve data from the server-side where all the data of the stakeholders are
stored. The administrator entity controls the registration and the update queries of actors that will
be the end users, these users include members and admins. The user can register and add their
personal information to the system via the application layer and are able to retrieve the data later
in time when wanted from the database by filling and applying the necessary steps within the web
page from the server. The admins can also manage user and their post through the web application.
After each update done by the admins and the users on their personal information, the updated data
is saved to the database on the server. This data can be viewed by the through their profiles on the
web application. The system is designed to be user-friendly and easy to navigate, even for those
who are not tech-savvy. Users can easily register and log in to the system using their username
and password. Once logged in, they can access their profile, view upcoming posts and through
their profile they can post property, update profile see message and see their own post.
Overall, the Brokerage system is a comprehensive and efficient solution for managing the affairs
of broker online. It provides a range of features and functionalities that make it easy for users and
admins to stay organized and on top of their responsibilities.

INTERVENTION DETAILS
In this intervention phase we try to implement our project web system for Brokerage or trading
system which we made further assessments in phase two (Appropriate Technology and Action
plan development). Based on that assessment here in intervention phase we solve the problem and
implement the solution.

We implement web system for Brokerage or trading system. Main components of this system is
the homepage. The homepage is essential part of this system, which holds basic information of the
system like products to be sold. When the user enters the system the user can go to home page to
see the products. This part of the system will work on offline. The website application also the
essential component of our system which is serve as the bridge between the system and its central
database. This part of the system is work online and has the following main task; it will upload the
newly updated products and users to the central database when there is internet connection.

In this system, first the user should be registered by registrar filling the registration form online by
its own or by admin. The data inserted by the registrar stored in the database by using username
and password. The admin can view the detailed information about users and also the products. In
addition to this, it enables buyers to check for the available products. That means it allows online
and real-time ordering.

We can show the overall system with the following images:

SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT

The contribution and significance of this project is vast. Foremost it gives a better way for brokerage
systems in our kebele. The old system of brokerage requires manual efforts for communicating buyers
and sellers. This made the process of buying and selling a much complicated and non-effective way. So,
this project made a solution to this problem. It can provide a search and filtering functionality for
buyers to easily find properties based on specific criteria, such as location, property type, and price,
To provide a user-friendly and intuitive interface for all users, including buyers, sellers, landlords,
renters, and the administrative user, Providing real-time market data for buyers and the sellers.

RECOMMENDATION
Based on this intervention phase and the previous ones we recommend that problem solving
technologies mainly in web based brokerage system related fields are very mandatory for the
community as well as the country so such kinds of project should be encouraged and rewarded.
We recommend that the private sector establish institutions and provide funding for the
development of such web-based solutions, as they can have a significant impact on the
management of their property. These system can provide training and support for the development
of these solutions, and also provide guidance on best practices for broker activity.
In conclusion, we recommend that web-based Brokerage should be encouraged, supported and
rewarded, as they can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of buying, selling and
renting and also help to reduce the costs associated with manual management.
