SONG LYRICS
SONG 1: THE PERFECT GROOVE
I’m looking for the perfect groove The beat is bumping
To make my day The music is pumping
Looking for the perfect beat The bass is thumping
To sit right down and play Just the way we like it

Looking for the perfect groove Looking for the perfect groove
Don’t need to be hasty To make my day
Gonna take my time Looking for the perfect beat
And find the one that’s really tasty To sit down and play

Gotta be a beat that Looking for the perfect groove

Makes me feel so good To make my day
Following the rhythm I’m searching for that perfect beat
Like I know I would To sit right down and play

It’s gotta be a beat

That fits my mood
The kind of beat
With a funky groove

The beat is bumping

The music is pumping
The bass is thumping
Just the way we like it

17
SONG 2 : YOU DO YOU
You look into the mirror
Who do you see
An individual
With unique abilities

Like a ray of sunshine

Breaking through the clouds
Like a snowflake falling
Softly to the ground

Every thought, every movement

Is part of who you are
Follow the beat of your heart
It’s gonna take you far

You do you
Do the things you gotta do
You do you
Be who you are

You do you
Be the best that you can
You do you
Be a shining star

Shining star

18
SONG 3: THAT’S THE WAY TO PLAY
The music is rocking 1, 2, 3, 4
Time to add the beat Keep it going
Gotta set the groove 5, 6, 7, 8
And make it complete The groove is flowing
1, 2, 3, 4
Let’s have some fun What do you say
And play along 5, 6, 7, 8
To keep the rhythm That’s the way to play, hey
Of our song
That’s the way to play
Pound it out
On the 2 and the 4
The backbeat’s driving
The kick on the floor

Lay down the beat

Strong and steady
Come on and pick up your sticks
Are you ready?

1, 2, 3, 4
Keep it going
5, 6, 7, 8
The groove is flowing
1, 2, 3, 4
What do you say
5, 6, 7, 8
That’s the way to play, hey

19
SONG 4: DANCE TO THE BEAT
The lights are flashing Dance to the beat
On the dance floor The drums are hitting
The drums are banging Move your feet
In my head
Dance to the beat
The party’s starting It’s time to party
And the beat is dropping Got friends to meet
I’m thinking about
what you said Dance to the beat

Go with the flow

Follow the rhythm
Let the groove become
Part of you

Go with the flow

Be in the moment
Listen to the music
And you move, when you

Dance to the beat

The drums are hitting
Move your feet

Dance to the beat

Shake your body
Feel the heat
