GOP - Oracle Global Order Promising

(GOP) is an application in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management that helps fulfil
sales orders by providing accurate delivery promises
How it works
GOP considers the current and projected supply and demand across the supply chain to
determine when a customer order can be fulfilled. It can look at a variety of sources, including
suppliers, factories, distribution centres, and warehouses

Planning Source Systems

Collect Planning Data:

Role: Supply Chain Planning Application Administrator, Order Promising Manager

There are two steps involved in the data collection process. The Collect Planning
Data process first pulls data from the Oracle Fusion source system into staging
tables. The process then loads data from the staging tables into the planning data
repository.

Collection types:
1) Net Change collection type: used to collect new or changed data
incrementally. It's typically used after a Targeted collection to keep planning
data current with execution system data.
2) Targeted collection type: Used to perform a complete refresh of the data
repository
3) Automatic collection: The planning process decides the collection type for each
entity based on factors like the last collected date
Note: Once the collection program is completed we must run the “Refresh and
Start the Order Promising Server”

Note: We can verify the data Collection in “Maintain supply network model” from task
bar.
ATP Rules:

Available-to-promise (ATP) rules enable you to determine the availability of a product item for
current and future demand.

ATP rules (Available to Promise rules) are a set of conditions that help you determine if an item
is available for shipping on a specific date.
These are the three promising modes:
∙ Supply chain availability search
∙ Lead time based
∙ Infinite availability based

Infinite Availability Mode:

Infinite availability mode of an available-to-promise (ATP) rule assumes that supply is always
available on the requested date. This mode is used when supply is almost always available and
for items with low value.

Lead Time Mode:

Lead time mode is a type of available-to-promise (ATP) rule that's used to assign items that are
built on demand or assembled

Lead time mode adds the lead time to the requested date to determine the promise date. It
doesn't search for item availability

Lead time mode is typically used for items that have a reliable lead time for production or
procurement.

Supply Chain Availability Search:

A type of ATP rule that searches your supply chain to determine how long it will take to make
your item available. Use this mode when you have specific requirements that you can't meet
through the infinite availability mode or the lead time mode. It allows you to specify more
complex promising
Nav: Order Management > Global Order Promising > Order Promising Rule > Manage ATP
Rules
1) Lead time based:

How to create an ATP rule

When creating an ATP rule in lead time mode, you can specify the lead time to
use:

 Total lead time: The total time needed to manufacture the item
 Cumulative manufacturing lead time: The cumulative lead time for
manufacturing.
 Cumulative total lead time: The cumulative total lead time.
 User-defined lead time: A lead time you enter yourself.

Click on +icon and enter the Rule Name, select the Lead time based and select user
defined lead time and enter the lead time

3) Supply Chain Availability Search:

Based on Supply and Demand

Sourcing Rules:

Sourcing rules are conditions that determine how to replenish items in an

organization
They can be used to determine which factories or distribution centres to consider
when supplying an item

How to use: Sourcing rules can be used when the ATP rule is in the supply search
mode.

How to prioritize: If there is a conflict between a sourcing rule and a bill of

distribution, the sourcing rule takes precedence.

How to specify sources: There are three types of sources:

 Transfer From: An interorganization shipping functionality that transfers between
internal organizations

 Make At: The item is manufactured at this internal organization

 Buy From: The item is purchased from an external enterprise

Assignment Sets:
Assignment set is used to link sourcing rules and bills of distribution to items,
customers, organizations, categories, demand classes, or regions. Assignment sets
are used to create sourcing and transfer links between organizations for each item
in a supply chain plan

behaviour.
