8. ENVIRONMENT
a. Solid Waste Management
- Brgy.8 – Bagumbayan Material Recovery Facility (MRF) is located at Purok 2
Galang St. The barangay supports the implementation of solid waste
management to support economic development and superior quality of life. By
appointing one eco-manager and eight eco-aides that are assigned to collect
every day the segregated rubbish/waste from each household and business
establishments and they will wait for the OCENR garbage truck to pick up this
garbage from the MRF. The barangay is one of the top ten best implementations
on Solid waste management.

b. General air quality


- Brgy.8 – Bagumbayan air quality is at par with other urban barangay wherein
most pollutants emanate from anthropogenic source usually from mobile sources
such as vehicles, and natural sources such as dust. The Material Recovery
Facility is maintained and sanitized in a daily basis that no odor will be observed.
The Barangay even without the proper devices to measure generally air quality
our barangay air quality is beyond the standard quality.

c. General water quality


- The total families of Barangay 8 – Bagumbayan is about 1,582 families only of
which about 98% or 1,572 is utilizing the Legazpi City Water District water
distribution for their daily consumption and 2% or 10 families are utilizing jetmatic
water pumps
