MILPARK’S PARTNERSHIP WITH EON REALITY AND MERSETA

EON Reality, a global leader in Virtual and Augmented Reality (XR) solutions, has
joined forces with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector
Education and Training Authority (merSETA) in South Africa, along with Milpark
Education. This partnership aims to redefine education and training in South Africa
by harnessing the immersive capabilities of Virtual Reality (VR) technology. Milpark
Education is privileged to be part of this groundbreaking national rollout.

The collaboration between EON Reality, merSETA, and Milpark Education opens
the doors to a host of transformative benefits for students. By integrating VR
technology into the educational landscape, students at Milpark Education can look
forward to an additional learning tool to be used in their learning experiences.

One of the foremost advantages of VR in education is its capacity to provide

students with realistic and hands-on training opportunities. By immersing students
in simulated environments and interactive scenarios, VR enables students to
practice skills and procedures in a safe and controlled setting.

WHAT IS VR?

VR stands for Virtual Reality. It is a computer-generated technology that simulates

a realistic three-dimensional environment, which can be explored and interacted
with by a person. In a virtual reality experience, users typically wear a special
headset that covers their eyes and ears, blocking out the real world and immersing
them in a virtual environment.

TYPES OF VR

There are different types of VR experiences available, such as non-immersive VR,

semi-immersive VR and fully immersive VR.

Milpark will make use of the non-immersive VR which involves viewing a 3D virtual
environment on a computer screen. Users can interact with the environment using
a keyboard, mouse, or other input devices, but they do not have a sense of being
physically present in the virtual space.
