Design an ogee spillway with the following data.

 Height of spillway crest above river bed =100m


 Design discharge = 12000 m 3
 Number of spans = 6
 Clear distance between piers =15m
 Thickness of pier =3m
 Slope of downstream face of the overflow section = 0.8:1
 Slope of upstream face of the overflow section =3V:1H
 Assume cut water 90 ° square nosed piar are supposed to be used with square abutment.
Assume if any miss data.

Solution: Assume Cd=2.2
