    Details for SPOT admissions- M.Des. Program

    1. The vacancies put up are as on the date of advertisement and may increase due to
    cancellation/withdrawals, IF ANY. The updated vacancies (as on the date of announcement
    of result of SPOT admissions), if any, will also be consider for SPOT admission.
    2. Spot admission for all the categories is only based on GATE/CEED score.

    Eligibility :

    1. A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (on the scale of 10.00) OR


    equivalent shall be required in the qualifying examination (4 years degree programme
    in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) / Design(B.Des) or equivalent) as the specified minimum
    for admission in a master’s programme. Candidates should ensure that their Bachelors
    degree programme should be of four years duration, and any programme which is less
    than FOUR years does not qualify for M.Des programme at the Institute.

    2. Valid GATE/CEED score (i.e. qualified GATE/CEED in the year 2024 or 2023)

    Procedure to be followed

    1. Eligible candidates are invited to submit the application for the SPOT round in online mode
    during the prescribed timeline.
    2. Consolidated merit list of selected candidates will be announced on the website, as per
    schedule.
    3. Selected candidates will receive offer letter on their registered email address, they will have
    to pay the fees within the mentioned timeline. In case a candidate does not pay the requisite
    fee during the specified time limit, the seat will be forfeit and will be assigned to next
    candidate in the wait list. The seat once forfeit by the Institute cannot be revert.
    4. The fees deposited during the spot round is non-refundable. Kindly refer to Institute fee
    refund rules here.
    5. Documents will be verified to determine the fulfilment of eligibility criteria stated above.
    6. Institute reserves the right to withdraw the admission at any stage / time in case a candidate
    does not fulfil the requisite qualifications and/or percentage of marks in qualifying degree or
    supplies any false information.
    Application Procedure

    i. Students can apply only through the online application form only. There is no
    provision for offline submission of application forms.
    ii. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
    iii. The application fee for above program is as follow:
     Rs.300/- : For SC/ST
     Rs.500/- : For other candidates
