    COMPLETE BEGINNER GUIDE FOR NOOBS (REALME 5/I/S)

    First of all make your mind about installing roms and stuff or else you will be
    in a position where u don’t want to be

    Steps To Unlock Bootloader
    After unlocking your phone ALL OF YOUR DATA WILL BE ERASED! Backup before you
    proceed.

    Enable OEM unlocking from developer options

    1.Backup your data.


    2.Again make up your mind.(Warranty will be void)
    3.Download in-depth test apk https://t.me/rmx_1911/43
    4.Open it and click on start applying after that agree to terms and
    conditions and then click on submit application.
    5.Wait for approximately 1 hr for application to be reviewed successfully.
    6.After it gets reviewed successfully click on start in depth test.
    7.Your phone will boot into fastboot mode.

    Now you have 2 options either to use PC or to use another Android


    phone.

    PC WAY:-
    1.On the PC install ADB platform tools from
    https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
    2.Install USB drivers for device if needed.
    3.Open and extract the file.
    4.Connect phone with pc with a usb cable.
    5.Press Shift+right mouse click there you will see an option to open
    powershell or cmd window.Click on it.
    6.Type ‘fastboot devices' and make sure your device is visible.
    7. After that type 'fastboot flashing unlock' and press enter.
    8.After enter you will see a warning

    here press volume up button on your phone.


    9.Then boot into fastboot mode or your rui.

    ANDROID WAY:-

    Requirements:-
    1. Realme 5/5s/5i (Application approved)steps given above.
    2. Another phone with OTG support (parent device).
    3. Install the app

    On other device (app name-bugjaeger)

    Parent Device(PD)(Phone other than realme 5 series which you are
    using)

    Steps :
    1. Go to fastboot mode in Realme 5 using in depth app.
    2. Connect this phone with the parent device .
    3. Launch bugjaeger, go to fastboot section.(PD)
    4. Check whether the device is detected or not using "fastboot devices"
    command and then press enter button present beside text .(PD)
    5. Then type "fastboot flashing unlock" and press enter button which
    looks like play button.(PD)
    6. Toggle using volume keys and press power button. (R5)(shown in PC
    STEPS NO.8)

    HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY


    1.Make sure you have successfully unlocked bootloader.
    2.Go to fastboot mode.
    3.Connect phone to pc or another phone with otg and bugjaeger.
    4. Open Powershell or cmd from adb folder on pc
    Open command window on bugjaeger
    5.On PC paste the recovery and vbmeta in adb folder
    On android copy the path where the recovery and vbmeta are stored.
    6.On PC use command “fastboot flash recovery reoveryname.img”
    On android open command section and use command “fastboot flash
    recovery pathofrecovery recoveryname.img”
    7. Then use command “fastboot flash vbmeta vbmetaname.img’

    On android use command
    “fastboot(space)flash(space)vbmeta(space)vbmetapath
    (space)vbmetaname.img”
    8.Use volume buttons on REALME 5series phone to navigate to recovery
    mode and then you recovery is installed

    Steps to install custom roms(OSS based roms only)


    1.Wipe5( DALVIK,SYSTEM,VENDOR,DATA,CACHE)
    2.Flash firmware if mentioned
    3.Flash rom
    4.Flash vbmeta disabler if installing first time

    7.Reboot

    Always refer to install instructions in rom post they might be different
