What modes have you used in the past?

How did you decide which modes to use?

The choice I made to utilize particular modes was often affected by the goal of the

written work. Moreover, the target audience was crucial in choosing the appropriate

rhetorical styles. For instance, whenever I desired to amuse or communicate a significant

incident, I would go for narration. As evidence suggests (Kurtz, 2021), the purpose of

narrative writing is to tell stories. During the presentation a point of view or talking about

intricate subjects, I prefer comparison-contrast or persuasion to present in a coherent way my

concepts. Moreover, I took into account the mood and manner fitting for every mode. That

was to guarantee that it had an impact positively with the readership.

How did you know that your choice of modes was successful?

Evaluating the outcome of the modes I selected depended on feedback from my

spectators, colleagues, or instructors. Favorable feedback, involvement, and comprehension

of the information I conveyed suggested that the use of rhetorical modes achieved the desired

outcome. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge that not all could exhibit an identical

reaction, and diverse beliefs or explanations. However, uncertainty or disinterest indicated

that I should possibly rethink the modes I'm using. ‍

Based on these previous experiences, what will you do to ensure you successfully use the

modes in this course and as you work towards your degree?

I want to make sure that I successfully employ rhetorical modes in this course and all

of my future academic endeavors. To choose the modes that will best support my argument

and message, I will first do in-depth study on my topic and evaluate the goals of each writing.

In order to improve my writing and make sure I am utilizing the modes correctly, I will also

ask academics for criticism or visit writing centers. To improve my ability to present

concepts in a variety of ways, I will also practice using various rhetorical modes in my

writing.

Response to classmates

As I interact with my classmates’ work, considering that they describe their

experience primarily through narration, I recommend incorporating elements of process

analysis to provide a clearer understanding of the steps involved in their experience. Process

analysis explains how to do something or how something works, and the process is

articulated into clear and definitive steps (Khalfan et al., 2020).
