    ‘Is’ is used with singular subject.

    ‘Are’ is used with Plural subject.

    Examples: England is a beautiful country.


    They are good friends.
    Pictures are nice.
    This is a ship.
    The book is worth reading.

    Note: ‘You’ will always take ‘ Are’.


    You are a wonderful guy.
    You are a gentleman.
