DCS I/O module installation & maintenance

一、系统功能介绍 System function introduction

The IO module consists of three basic components: the "base", the terminal, the terminal,
and the module. For the output of the switch, due to the limit of the power of the relay,
except for the standard installation size of the normal ac relay output module, it also
provides the large capacity of the different applications, or the dc extension relay module,
and the corresponding service module.
IO 模块包括 3 个基本组成部分：IO 组件（含底座）、接线端子排、及模块上盖。对于开关量输出，由于继电器体积限制，除普通交流继电器输出
模块为标准安装尺寸的外，还提供了满足不同应用的需求的大容量的、或直流扩展继电器模块，与相应的 DO 模块配套使用。

二、模拟量输入模块（16 通道）MAI50 MAI50 16-Channel mA/V Analog Module

The MAI50 16-Channel Analog Input Module is an intelligent data acquisition and
processing module. It contains a processor subsystem and an acquisition circuit specific
to the analog input function and can handle up to 16 mA/V analog inputs. The inputs can
be individually configured as current or voltage, and the corresponding input span is 4-
20mA, 0-20mA or ±5V/±10V. When inputs are configured for current, each input channel
provides a 250Ω burden resistor yielding a 5V signal at 20mA. Input type can be
configured by jumper and parameter settings.

模拟量输入模块 MAI50 是一款智能的信号采集和处理模块。模块本身含有处理器子系统以及信号调理电路，可处理 16 路 mA/V 模拟量信号
输入。每一路输入通道可以单独配置成电流或电压输入方式，信号范围 0～20mA（或±10 V）。每路通道有一个 250Ω 的采样电阻，用于
将电流输入信号转换为电压信号。输入方式通过模块上的跳线及通道参数进行设置。

Open-circuit and short-circuit detection are provided by the MAI50. When an open or
short-circuit condition occurs, an alarm will be generated for the unhealthy channel and
firmware will hold its previous normal value. At the same time firmware will set the signal
quality to bad, which will trigger an alarm or safety operation by the controller.
MAI50 模块具有检测信号接线开路和短路的功能。当模块采样通道发生开路或短路故障时，模块将保持该通道故障前输出，同时将该通道品质置
为坏点，并通过控制器判断报警。

三、温度信号输入模块（16 通道）MAI51 MAI51 16-Channel TC/RTD Analog Input Module

The MAI51 16-Channel TC/RTD Analog Input Module is an intelligent data acquisition
and processing module. It contains a processor subsystem and an acquisition circuit
specific to the temperature input function. It can handle up to 16
Thermocouple/Resistance Temperature Device (TC/RTD) inputs. Each input channel can
accommodate TC or RTD type signals, but must be configured by group, channels 1-8 for
one group and channels 9-16 for another group. The MAI51 supports E, J, K, N, R, S, T,
B types of standard thermocouples and Pt10, Pt100, Cu50, Cu100, BA1, Cu10, Cu53
types of standard RTD inputs.

电阻（TC/RTD）信号输入。每一路输入通道均可接入 TC/RTD 信号，但必须成组设置，1－8 通道为一组，9－16 通道为另外一组。
MAI51 模块支持 E/J/K/N/R/S/T/B 分度的标准热电偶以及 Pt10/Pt100/Cu50/Cu100/ BA1/Cu10/Cu53 分度
的标准热电阻。

Linearization for the selection of TC/RTD type is performed in software by the controller.
TC open or RTD open and short circuits are detected by out of range values. Open-
circuit and short-circuit detection are provided for RTDs by the MAI51, while for TC
inputs, only open-circuit detection is available. Although the module does not generate
these alarms directly, it will set the signal quality to bad, which can be identified by the
controller to trigger an alarm or safety operation.

Cold Junctions
冷端补偿

Reference junction temperature is measured by separate RTD input channels and is

compensated in the controller by software. Normally two CJ points are applied within one
single cabinet, one is located on the top of the I/O module area, the other is located on
the bottom of the area. The average of the two is used. Acceptable limits are configured
and if the CJ goes outside the limit, the signal is regarded as bad quality. The default
value is transferred for CJ temperature and an alarm is generated, depending on the
application design. In MAI51 (PCB version V5) there is an internal high accuracy sensor
which provides cold junction temperature.
冷端温度由单独的热电阻通道测量，并通过控制器软件进行热电偶信号的温度补偿。一般在控制柜内 I/O 模块区域的上、下两端各布置一个测温点，
采用两者的平均值作为冷端补偿温度。 根据控制器组态软件的设计，还可对冷端温度的测量设置有效范围。如果因异常原因导致测得的冷端温度超出
许可范围，则视此信号无效，控制器可将设定的缺省温度作为冷端补偿温度参与计算，同时产生报警。

四、模拟量输出模块（8 通道）MAO50 MAO50 8-Channel Analog Output Module

The MAO50 8-Channel Analog Output Module is an intelligent data acquisition and
processing module. It contains a processor subsystem and an acquisition circuit specific
to the analog output function and can handle up to 8 analog outputs. All 8 analog outputs
can provide current output with signal range from 4-20mA or 0-20mA, and the last two
channels (channels 07 and 08) can also be configured for 1-5V dc output.

号范围 0～20mA，其中两路通道支持电流或电压输出 （信号范围 0～5V）。

The first six channels (CH#01-CH#06) are current output type with signal range from 4 to
20mA. The last two channels (CH#07 and CH#08) can be configured as current or
voltage output (0-5V).
模块的前 6 个通道（01～06）为电流信号输出，输出信号范围 0～20mA；最后两个通道（07、 08）可设置为电流或电压输出（信号范
围 0～5V）。

Open-circuit detection is provided by the MAO50 for current type output. Open-circuit is
detected through an opto-coupler by reading back output current. If the output circuit is
open while the channel has current, an alarm will be generated to indicate the channel
open-circuit.
MAO50 模块用于电流输出时，具有检测电流输出信号接线开路的功能。当通道有电流输出时发生接线开路，系统将会产生报警。

五、开关量输入模块（32 通道）MDI50 MDI50 32-Channel Discrete Input Module

The MDI50 32-Channel Discrete Input Module is an intelligent data acquisition and
processing module. It contains a processor subsystem and an acquisition circuit specific
to the digital input function and can handle up to 32 contact inputs. Each input channel
has a dedicated status indication LED on the module’s front panel. SOE function with
1ms accuracy is available for all input channels. The last four channels are suitable for
acquiring low speed pulse signals.

号输入。每一路开关量输入在模块面板上均有实时状态指示且具有 SOE 记录功能，SOE 时间记录精度可达 1ms。此外，模块的最后四路通
道具备低速脉冲量输入采集功能。

The MDI50 can accommodate the following discrete input types:

Digital input, dry contact or current sourcing type

Pulse input, dry contact or current sourcing type (only for channels 29- 32)

六、交流继电器输出模块（16 通道）MDO53 MDO53 16-Channel Discrete Output Module

The MDO53 16-Channel Discrete Output Module is an intelligent data acquisition and
processing module. It contains a processor subsystem and an acquisition circuit specific
to the digital output function and can provide up to 16 relay outputs. Each digital output
has a dedicated status indication on the cover of the module, and command readback is
also provided by the module.
Nexus 开关量输出模块 MD053 是一款智能的信号处理模块。模块本身含有处理器子系统以及信号转换电路、驱动输出器件，可提供 16 路
继电器输出。每一路开关量输出在模块面板上均有输出指示。

The MDO53 has 16 discrete output channels. Each channel applies to electrical control
circuit with voltage class less than 250V AC.
MDO53 模块具有 16 路继电器开关量输出，应用于 250V AC 以下等级的交流控制回路。

The MDO53 can provide one pair of NO/NC contacts for each output channel.
MDO53 模块的每路通道均可提供一对具有公共端的常开触点（NO）和常闭触点（NC）输出。

七、开关量输出主控模块（16 通道）MDO54 MDO54 16-Channel Discrete Output Module

The MDO54 16-Channel Discrete Output Module is an intelligent data acquisition and
processing module. It contains a processor subsystem and an acquisition circuit specific
to the digital output function and can provide up to 16 digital outputs. Each digital output
has a dedicated status indication on the cover of the module, and command status
feedback is also provided by the module. The MDO54 should be used with an extension
relay board or discrete relays and uses 110V/220V dc or 380V AC class electrical control
circuits.
Nexus 开关量输出模块 MD054 是一款智能的信号处理模块。模块含有处理器子系统以及信号转换电路、驱动输出器件，可提供 16 路开关
量输出。每一路开关量输出在模块面板上均有 LED 指示。 MDO54 模块需和继电器扩展板配套使用，以用于 110V/220V
DC、380V AC 等级的控制回路。
