1 Services to Clients

Wellness Services are described as those that specifically promote health and
wellbeing (including the dimensions of wellness: physical, intellectual,
emotional/psychological, social, spiritual, occupational, and environmental) rather
than diagnose and treat illness. This could be via healthy lifestyles, psychosocial
interventions for individuals, families, or groups. This might include a combination
of smoking cessation, weight management, brief alcohol interventions, physical
activity pathways, health trainers, social prescribing / referral, psychological
wellbeing interventions, e.g., mindfulness and stress management.

What's In

In life and in business, you'll often encounter a variety of appointments, be it

a job interview, business meeting, a dental appointment, or even just agreeing a
convenient time to meet up with old friends.

With the help of an online appointment scheduler and calendar system, you
will certainly be able to accomplish key goals such as improving punctuality, and
ensuring that you have adequate time for planning and preparation for upcoming
appointments.

In summary, appointment scheduling is important as it ensures that you

make the best use of your time; it will also illustrate to others that you value your
own time.

2
What's New

Massage is a common treatment for sore, stiff muscles, and other body pain,
but making your appointment can be overwhelming due to the variety of options
available. If you want to have a relaxing spa experience, you can book a massage at
a local spa or with a massage therapist. To make an appointment, you'll pick your
type of massage and contact the business. Then, all you have to do is arrive at the
appointment prepared for relaxation. The following are the steps for booking an
appointment with the spa.

1. Find a reputable spa or massage therapist in your area.

Search online for spas in your area, and read customer reviews and
testimonials about the services. Check out the prices on the spa's website or social
media accounts, and find their phone number or online booking platform.

2. Locate a massage therapist that does house calls for a more private service.
If you want to skip the drive to the spa, search for "on demand" or "in home"
massage therapists in your area. The process for booking an in-home therapist is the
same as booking a spa service, but be sure to specify where you live.

3. Call the spa to speak to a spa associate about making an appointment.

Be sure to call during business hours to make your appointment, and be clear
about what you want to book your appointment for. Remember to tell them the name
of the service, what time and day you're available, and the therapist's name if you
have a preference.

4. Confirm the details of the appointment before you hang up.

As you make the appointment, write down the details on a piece of paper.
Repeat them back to the spa associate after the appointment is made to confirm that
you have the right information. Remember to include the time, date, service name,
and price

5. Specify if you would prefer a male or female massage therapist.

Don't be afraid to let the spa associate know if you would prefer a specific
therapist. It's common for guests to requests for therapists with good reviews or a
therapist of the same sex so that they feel more comfortable. If you don't have a
preference, let them know.

In general, both male and female massage therapists will have the required
strength and abilities to give you a good massage.

3
Preliminary Services to Clients

The consultation is a very important part of the

treatment sufficient time must be allowed so that it is not
rushed. This is the time to gather and exchange information.
The initial consultation will be the longest and provide detailed
information, which must be accurately recorded on a treatment
card. This must be filed in a safe and accessible place and used
each time the client attends for treatment. Before subsequent
treatments, a brief consultation is usually sufficient to
establish the effects and outcomes of the previous treatments
and whether any changes are to be made or further action is to be taken.

A detailed consultation is important for the following reasons:

1. To introduce yourself and get to know the client

2. To establish a rapport with the client and put her/him at ease
3. To develop mutual trust and gain the client's confidence
4. To gain information on the client's past and present state of mental and
physical health

5. To identify any contra-indications

6. To gain insight into the client's lifestyle, responsibilities, work environment,

leisure activities, etc

7. To identify the client's needs and expectations of the treatment

8. To establish the most appropriate form of treatment and to discuss and

agree on this with the client

9. To explain the treatment fully to the client, including the procedure,

expected effects, timing, and frequency

10.To agree with a treatment plan, the timing and cost with the client so that
s/he fully understands the financial commitment, and obtain a signed
consent form

11.To answer queries and questions related to the treatment and to allay
doubts and fears

The information gathered will provide a baseline from which the appropriate
treatment is planned, the effectiveness of the treatment can be judged, and any
necessary changes or adjustments made.

4
What is It

Every day your office fills dozens, if not hundreds of client's appointments.
Even if you are generally regarded as a walk-in office, chances are you are still
scheduling regular check-ups. Appointments in the office are so important because
they are your client's only resource for using your services. Without proper
scheduling, your clinic will quickly become a chaotic, unorganized mess. This raises
stress not only for your staff but your clientele as well.

On the other hand, the purpose of a consultation is to hear out the person's
needs and help identify a plan of attack for solving their problems and accomplishing
their goals. Whether or not the client has to pay for this strategy session depends
entirely on the consultant's business model and the nature of the problem being
solved.

What I Can Do

Practical Activities: How to Book Clients?

Directions: Ask a member of your family or neighbor to assist you to this activity.
Pretend to book a client (family member/neighbor) by following the steps below.

STEP 1: Prepare appointment cards (do this exactly). Each card represents an
appointment slot with the following data:

Your Name _______________________________

Your Concern _____________________________

Your Email _______________________________

Your Phone ______________________________

Your Chosen Appointment Timeslot ___________

Signature

STEP 2: Prepare the Collection Box

Find or make an attractive, professional-looking bag or box with an opening
on the top. This will serve as your appointment collection box.

STEP 3: Prepare the Instructions

Cut and paste the following into Word. Adjust the wording as needed to suit
your own business and special offering. Make it eye-catching. Print it out.

STEP 4: Getting the Appointments

Set up all your brochures and fliers on the tabletop as usual. But you should
also dedicate about 1/3rd of the tablespace to laying out the appointment cards in
an attractive grid-like pattern. Put the instructions and the collection box just behind
the appointment cards, so that everything is clearly visible.
