    INSTALLATION

    INSTRUCTION FOR

    WEIDA INTEGRATED INDUSTRIES SDN BHD

    IMPORTANT NOTE

    ECOSEPT is manufactured from High Density


    Polyethylene (HDPE) which provides durable,
    economical modern solution for domestic sewage
    treatment.

    The following installation instructions and procedures


    must be followed as a “pre-requisite” for WEIDA
    Integrated SDN. BHD. to issue warranty for the
    ECOSEPT.

    Any deviation from these prescribed installation


    instructions and procedures will render the warranty void
    and invalid.
    1. Excavation
    a. Excavate opening width dimensions to suit the
    septic tank model.
    b. Depth of excavation is to suit site requirements.
    Excavation depth must be such that the top of
    septic tank will not be more than 600mm below
    ground level.

    2. Preparation of Base
    a. For hard ground, base support should be well
    compacted sand of at least 0.3 meter (12 in)
    thick. For soft ground reinforced concrete slab
    on piles shall be used to support septic tank.
    b. Only sand or granular materials shall used for
    bedding
    c. Bedding material must be thoroughly compacted.
    3. Lowering, Filling with Water and Connection
    a. Septic tank must be carefully lowered onto base
    support using proper hoisting equipment. Septic
    tank Must not be dropped onto base support
    b. Immediately after positioning, fill septic tank to
    ¾ full with water
    c. Make connections for the inlet and outlet.
    4. Backfilling
    a. Backfill with loose clean sand in layers not
    exceeding 250mm thick. Each layer must be well
    compacted all round before the next layer is
    placed on top
    b. Backfill uniformly around the tank. Uneven
    backfilling must not be carried out.
    c. Connect manhole extension and backfill to top.
    d. Construct concrete surround slabs for manhole
    covers.
    5. Commissioning
    a. Before use remove all plastic bags, pieces of
    timber, objects or debris that may have been
    inside septic tank and pipe works during
    construction.
    b. Seed the septic tank with 25 liters of sludge
    taken from an old working septic tank.
    Notes:
    1. Never use sharp tools around the septic tank.
    2. Traffic loads over the ECOSEPT are not permitted.
    Damages due to such loads will invalidate warranty
    for the ECOSEPT.
    3. For installation of septic tank where water table can
    be higher than the base of the tank, proper anchorage
    straps should be installed to reduce the possibility of
    floatation. Details of anchorage can be provided
    when required.
