HISTORY OF AMANPULO:

1970: the island of Amanpulo which is the Pamalican Island was merely an island used by the people of
the neighboring islands for agricultural purposes. Until a sailing family seeking refuge from a storm
stumbled upon the island and saw its potential.

1985: In 1985 Adrian Zecha, The visionary founder of Aman resorts partnered with interested parties to
develop a secluded island retreat in the Philippines. Pamalican Island, with its pristine beauty and
potential emerged as a perfect location.

1988: The name "Amanpulo" was coined, combining the Sanskrit word "aman" for peace and the
Tagalog word "pulo" for island. This aptly captured the essence of the envisioned peaceful island
getaway.

1993: Amanpulo officially opened its doors as the seventh property in the prestigious Aman Resorts
collection. It quickly gained recognition as a luxurious escape nestled amidst breathtaking natural
beauty.

Present Day: Today, Amanpulo remains a premier luxury island resort in the Philippines. It continues to
