Writing is an important form of communication. But, do students feet it necessry iEl

to improve this skitt? Wet[, the answer is an absotute NO.

ln fact, most students are retuctant to write. tVlost teachers run out of time to
listen to and give feedback on their students' pieces of writing. This, together with
a thick programme to cover, wit[ presumabLy make the writing an unbearable task
to handte while teaching and learning. Yet, in my opinion, students who can
communicate wetl in writing witt have a distinct advantage over those who don't, ô[
and wil.i obviousty seize this opportunity and impose their talent once they are
ready for the job market . So, don't you agree dear students that it is high time you
shou[d upgrade your levet in writing?
Just embrace creativity, originatity and use artistic flair, and you witL be there.

Learning grammar is as important as it always was. lsn't grammar the backbone of

any tanguage? Without grammar, it is hard to communicate effectively. But for me,
students' retuctance to read books, being overwhelmed with overcrowded
timetabtes, and piLes of homework to do after schooltime, attwith distracted
minds with many devices in hands to ptay and sociaL media to check, are a[[
conditions that prevent the students from finding time to tearn grammar rutes,
then do their writing assignments acurateLy. This uttimatety leads to a faiture in
the writing component in the exam, a lower grade in the EngLish subject and a less
interest in learning Engtish as a language, too'
For attthese reasons, and as a continuation of an extensive course done in the
New Spottight On Engtish Activity book, I fett it urgent to design this extra ptus
writing activity book where I opted for an integrated way of revisiting and
refreshing the appropriate use of grammar while Learning writing tips and
strategies at the same time.

So, [et's hit two birds in one stone. Enjoy!

What is a correction code?
A correction code is used to show learners what kind of mistakes they have made in their
written work. The teacher undertines each mistake and writes a symbol or an abbreviation
next to it, showing the kind of mistake.
Typica[ codes inctude WO (word order); WW (wrong word); T (tense); and P (punctuation).
Teachers use correction codes to devel"op the learners'ability to correct and edit their own
work, as wettas maklng learning from errors more memorabte.

TITLE: The need
INTRODUCTION: Defining generation gap and insisting on the need for solutions.
A difference in opinions, values, attitudes and tifestyl.e (atong- among - away)
peopte of different ages is catted 'generation gap'. Due to these differences, peop[e
be1onging to different generations find (their - them - themsetves) unabte to re[ate to
each other, or (handting - handle- to handte) conflicts peacefutty.

BODY: Solutions to Overcome Generation Gap:

Lack of communication is the biggest reason for generation gap. Thus, firstly,
members in a fami[y shoutd decide (spend - spending - to spend) time with each other
and tatk whether on the dining table, or whiLe shopping. Besides, they ought to connect
with each other and try (understand - understanding - to understand) and appreciate
other's area of interest inctuding their morals and values. New Generation shouLd
respect and value their etders by fol.lowing his or her cuLture and traditions. No need for
(be - been - being) apprehensive and stubborn. On the other side, OLd Generation
shouLd also try to be open- (mind - minds - minded) and accept their teenagers'
preferences and be uP-to-date.

cONCLUSION: Recap (summary) and expressing hope.

The generation gap is a social phenomenon (who - where - that) occurs because
society is constantly changing. That's why, I hope you -dear readers- witL understand
that it is the responsibitity of both generations to fil.[this gap with [ove, (affect -
affection - effect), trust, and mutua[ respect in order to live harmoniously and
peacefuLty.

To begin with, butl.ying occurs when students mock, tease,ca[[ names, send

Whether verba[, physical, socia[ or cyber, al.[forms of buttying leave the victims

Another thing is that the overcrowding of the pubtic transportation makes the

BETTER EAT AT HOME

Eating out can be a very pleasurable experience, ........ if it was with

Undoubted[y, I prefer eating at home for many reasons.
Firstly, it is cheaper to eat at home. Secondl'y, it is heatthier and usuatty much more

I love the actors in this film. Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth
