Under instructions from and on behalf of my client, Mr. Hari

Krishnan, S/o ………….., residing at , I hereby issue the
following legal notice:

1. My client and you have been acquainted for the past five
years. Due to this familiarity, you approached my client seeking
a personal loan of Rs3,00,000 (Rupees Three Lakhs) to meet
your family expenses, promising to repay the amount within six
months. Out of goodwill, my client extended the requested loan
to you.

2. Despite repeated reminders after the stipulated six-month

period, you failed to repay the loan, continuously evading my
client’s requests for repayment. Feeling deceived, my client
lodged a complaint against you with the Inspector of Police,
North Police Station, Tuticorin.
3. During the inquiry held on 21.04.2023, you appeared
before the Sub-Inspector and admitted to the debt. You agreed
to settle the outstanding amount of Rs2,75,000 (Rupees Two
Lakhs Seventy-Five Thousand) within 18 months and issued a
cheque (Cheque No. 000002) dated 22.11.2024, drawn on
Karur Vysya Bank, Tuticorin branch, in favour of my client
for Rs2,75,000.

4. Relying on your assurance that the cheque be honoured

upon presentation, my client presented the cheque for
encashment through his account at the State Bank of India,
Kandasamypuram Branch, Tuticorin on 26.11.2024. However,
the cheque was dishonoured on 27.11.2024, with the bank
returning it along with a memo stating “Funds Insufficient.”

5. Following the dishonour, my client attempted to contact

you, but you avoided his calls and ignored his requests for
repayment.

6. Therefore, through this notice, I call upon you to pay the

cheque amount of Rs2,75,000 (Rupees Two Lakhs
Seventy-Five Thousand) within fifteen (15) days from the date
of receipt of this notice. Failure to comply will compel my client
to initiate legal proceedings against you, both civil and criminal,
under the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881,
and other applicable laws.
