Left uncorrected, the bolts may back out of the nut plates, allowing the pivot
shaft assembly to loosen. This condition could result in failure of a main
landing gear.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove inspection plates to gain access to the main landing gear pivot
shaft assembly, Piper Part No. 43286-02. (See Sketch A, Figure 1).
2. Remove each bolt, one (1) bolt at a time; then reinsert bolt through
shaft assembly until approximately one (1) full thread is engaged in the
nut plate. Apply tension to bolt head and measure gap between bolt
head and shaft assembly.
Repeat above procedure for the remainder of the bolts and on the
opposite Landing Gear Pivot Shaft.
