Reflection symmetry occurs when an

object splits into two mirror-image
halves.
Rotational symmetry occurs when an
object looks the same after rotation.

3D Shapes
What are 3D shapes? Examples:
3D shapes are solid shapes or
figures that have three dimensions.
Generally, length, width and height cone cylinder
are the dimensions of 3D shapes

cube sphere
Why are 3D shapes
3D shapes?
Unlike 2D shapes, which are flat and
have only two dimensions (length
and width), 3D shapes have depth as
well. This third dimension allows
them to be represented in three-
dimensional space, which is why
they are called 3D shapes.

of a Circle
Circumference of a Circle
What is a circle?
A circle is a 2D shape consisting of all points in a plane
that are at given distance from the center.
Circumference of a Circle

What is
Circumference?
The circumference
the total length of all
this points.
Circumference of a Circle
Formulas to calculate the circumference of a
circle:
r = Radius
d = Diameter 2πr

Special Angles
Parallel lines
Lines that go in the same
direction, they never
intersect each other.
Intersecting 50°

lines
Are lines that intersect
each other at some point
that create different

angles. °
Perpendicular
lines
Are lines that when
intersect, create four 90°
angles (Right angles).
On a set of intersecting and parallel lines
there are different types of angles:

Vertical opposite

Interior and
exterior angles
There is two types of angles in a shape, interior and
exterior angles. They are differentiated by their
position. If the angle is inside the shape, it’s an interior
angle. If it’s outside and there is a line created
outwards, then it is an exterior angle.
The Exterior Angle
Theorem
What is the Exterior angle theorem?

This theorem says that the exterior angle will always be

equal to the sum of the interior opposite angles

A + B= D

A = 100
B = 35
C = ___
